The only people I've seen using this camera is elementary school teachers in Japan whenever they need to take a quick shot of students doing some random activity in the classroom. Usually kept in some forgotten corner in their desks.

I'm in a K-3 and love limited 15 & 35mm, and the 100mm macro. But the camera is looking dated so I'm getting an Olympus OM-1 soon. Pentax was good but sadly it is geared towards fanboys nowadays.

Most likely not. And for sure not at the moment when brand new cars are still waiting for chips. Besides, the K1 M.II doesn't need an upgrade yet.

I recently bought a "SLIK Sprint S110" and substituted the head with a "Joby ball head" and I love it.
It's compact, yet sturdy enough to handle some wind. I use it both when hiking and when taking macro shots.

Any latest computer with at least 8GB of RAM and 500GB of storage would be good. 16GB+ RAM if you want to edit video.
My current computer is a Mac Mini late 2012 and still does Lr and Ps. I still have 200 gigs of storage left with the full storage being a 500GB SSD.
But since it's a 10 years old PC, if I try to focus stack photos in Photoshop, I have to go do some other shit somewhere else and come back to the computer later coz, yeah. It's an old PC.

I doubt they make another camera after the K3.iii.
Their decision to stay DSLR will cost them. Only existing users with many lenses and fanboys would get into a new Pentax. Add the chips shortage.
They'll probably keep recycling their current cameras into "new" special editions. Like the K3.iii in all black, which I was able to hold in my hands last week in Shinjuku and dang it looks good! Tho I put it right back where it was when the staff at Pentax told me the camera would be ¥300,000 ($3,000) body only. So yeah. A fanboys camera company.

Dang! The nostalgia I have of that place. Pretty cool shots. The 15mm is on my camera 40% of the time.

Pentax is not a "DSLR company" as some people stated above. It's just a camera company. It'd be nice to have a mirrorless K-mount camera. My K-3 is so heavy that it really doesn't matter if I carry a light Limited lense. Lighter mirrorless and 4K video would be awesome.

Oh altitude sickness is real. Headaches, nausea and insomnia are all symptoms but nothing is serious at that altitude. Most people get over it within one night of sleep. Anyway, glad you enjoyed the video.
And to make it relevant to Pentax, I shot it with a K-5II (which sadly died this past summer), the plastic 35mm lens, Limited 15mm and the kit 18-135mm zoom lens.

Been wanting to get my hands on a Raynox M-250 and after seeing all the samples in here, I think I will definitely get my hands on one.

Pretty Awesome! I found macro such a rewarding photography category. I've been using the Pentax 100mm macro this whole year and the quality of the lens always amazes me.

You can still get K3 and K3II's from mapcamera in Shinjuku... if you're in Japan. Used but in good quality.

You all should come to my office at 3,400m of altitude. Tons of clouds up here. Everyday and every night has something different to offer. Here's a quick time lapse I put together. Wish I had more clips but I'm usually super busy up there. Hope you enjoy it.

Awesome! That's good to know. I used the plastic 35mm for landscape a couple weeks ago and wasn't impressed. Will definitely keep an eye for a used version of the Limited 35 Macro then.
Pretty awesome picture, by the way.

For the last two years I've been working as a mountain guide in Mt Fuji and the lens that's most of the time in my bag (along with all my med. kits, layers and other tools), is still the Limited 15mm. The days if I don't bring it to the mountain, I bring the 100mm Macro for flower, mushrooms and moss shots.

The bug wanted the attention. You like the Limited 35mm much? I've been wanting to replace the plastic 35mm with the 35mm Limited Macro for a while.

I've had this lens for a year by now and it is my to-go lens when I'm either snowboarding, hiking or cycling due to its sharpness, portability and a must for my activities, weight. Wish it was WR too. That way I wouldn't be so worried when I'm out shooting skiers and snowboarders. ---------- Post added 12-03-18 at 04:34 AM ----------
I'll trade you my K-5II for your K-1 then ;-)
