Why did you fall for Pentax’s autofocus? I thought one of the standard complaints about Pentax was that its AF sucked...

$10 for shipping in CONUS, but what’s the shipping timeframe? I’m only in the US for a few days, but I’m interested in the flash ($55 is a little steep for shipping for me).

Wouldn't the backing paper reduce a significant amount of the light hitting the film? I've never shot 110, so genuinely curious...

The price for a CLA is likely around $150 in local currency. A full camera rebuild due to mechanical issues, etc. will likely run you $300-400 or more...

I would also recommend the CLA service. A good CLA for a camera that you're planning on using frequently is worth it, and likely would put another 10-20 years on the camera's lifespan.

I wish I had the disposable income to afford a $2500CAD second hand lens. Unless I can start monetizing my photography, I'm firmly in the world of sub-$500CAD lenses.

Thanks! I like the lens - it seems a lot sharper than the lens reviews seem to give it. The leaf shutter is interesting - I'm not too sure how often I'll use it, but it's handy to have a higher sync speed possible for flash work.
I have a late model Pentax 67 55mm f4 coming to me soon; 28mm is one of my favourite focal lengths in 35mm, so I'm super excited to play with it.

Man, this family shot just has me wishing cameras never adopted that flat black, curvy, big grip, and smoothed out pentaprism design that everyone has. I love the K/M/Super Program look, and would instabuy an APS-C sensored MX-lookalike. While I love the KP for that throwback look, it just doesn't go far enough, not even in the silver colourway.
Mind you, this is coming from someone who finds the Speed Graphic to be a sexy camera, so... :-S

Under what circumstances would that scratch impact the photograph? I'm guessing it would show up during strong side light or flare, correct?

If you like the FA35 that much, have you considered picking up the DA35 Ltd? Sure, it's a different optical formula, with it being about a stop slower, but the right focal length, and macro capability (ultra sharp rendering and magnification).
