Wow nice shots all! For me it was a bit of a tough choice mostly between 3 images. (1,6,7), I liked 5 too- the intimacy of barbed wire also captured (for me) the thought it confined those wide open spaces so it was a fitting metaphor for me.

Hi Lisa,
I am brand new to these forums myself (this is my introductory post) so welcome and I wish you and your husband good imaging.
This seems to be an amazing community from what I have sen in the last month of using the forum and you already have some good ideas and offers of help.
I'll throw in my 2 Cents too.
I do technical support for US Zeiss Microscopy and we have a guided scope-camera adaptation wizard for our own scopes and many third party cameras. Carl Zeiss Microscopy, LLC, United States > Camera Assistant
Some couplings are optically non-feasible and this can be especially true for some small field of view microscopes and large camera chips.
For SLRs (often with large chipsets) means you have to get an adapter to Magnify (spread out the light) of the image going to the Chip and you may face severe vignetting/ distortions or cropping of the field of view projecting to the camera.
The coupling of the camera to microscope is an important one and you should ideally use a photo-port (camera port built into the microscope) if you have one - otherwise the eyepiece adapters are just ok. See: See: Connecting a camera to a microscope | MicrobeHunter Microscopy Magazine
Whoever made you microscope should be able help you locate the appropriate photo adapter and there are retailers: Microscope Port Adapters - Thorlabs and a few guys that can make custom adapters too. e.g. Richard J Kinch, PhD
Good luck
Tim
