My new F1 does not have the LV Electronic shutter option.
P.S. I am NOT trying to use MUP in live view. I am trying to use it with Viewfinder in M mode.
As a newbie, I am also not clear how to switch or toggle from LV to Viewfinder?

Thanks but....
I cannot locate a reference to "electronic shutter". The M.UP icon does offer a remote shutter release option but both the icon choices are blacked (grayed) out.
I am setting the exposure mode to M, (manual) but I cannot get the M.Up icon to accept selection..

I am new a K1 owner. Cannot select M.UP option on drive mode screen. Selection box remains blacked out.?
(HDR capture and AA filter are both turned off).

I just acquired a new F1. It did not come with a remote. My very old Ashai C set remote for a Pentax IQ point and shoot works!
(with original battery).
