That happens to mine when I forget to engage the locks on the bottom of the film rolls. I am sure there is a name for them, on the bottom of the camera you twist them and push up. Congrats on the new cam!

Thank you all for your reply's. I sent it out to sigma about a week and a half ago. I got it back today fixed, talk about fast turn around....and the best part..it was fixed for free! No kidding...crazy...big thanks to Sigma...they blew my mind...

I got a Sigma 24-70 DG HSM that lost aperture control, when manually operating the blades I noticed they are sticky. I have since bought the pentax version 24-70 and have been running that lens. I was thinking about sending the lens in for repair to have a backup. Does this make economical sense? Should I send it to sigma? What's your thoughts...
