Looking stright up from the floor of a gully or small canyon. Pany GX8 + Samyang fish-eye. X-posted on the fish-eye thread, but with some additional PP tweaking.

That would have inspired me too! I immediately start thinking of the word plays (sorry).. Pewfartium... My first instrument was trombone in the third grade but that only lasted a year and I moved on to drums. I do recall making many a fart sound with the trombone too. :)

M4/3 is going to be fine. Its an excellent system for many photographers including professionals. I always preferred the 4/3 systems to the APS-C. I think having a M4/3 and a FF system makes more sense than Fuji's APS-C and crop medium format system. Obviously M4/3 is not the best option for everyone, but its more than enough for the majority of photographers.

And a local event, a traditional race with old boats, these are called "Moliceiros" they were used, to carry seagrass and algae to be used in agriculture, at my city these boats were a bit tweaked and converted to tourism, these photos are from a smaller place north from me, and these ones are still original ones. It's sacrilege, but I prefer the Oly. Maybe because it is functionally 600mm. Judge for yourself in the uncropped & cropped pairs below (these have gone though PP, so not OOC)

Well, I'm making some progress with my new OLY--thanks in large measure to some good PM advice from sylvainp and WPRESTO--but I still have a way to go to really feel comfortable with it. Mostly, I just have to get out and shoot with it, make mistakes, get frustrated and stumble on some "Ah-Ha! moments. Started on that with some walk-around shooting this past Saturday--here's one: |

A tiny, tiny fly from this morning. I did cull out many images of this fellow while the card was still in the camera. It was easy: delete those images that were nothing but bokeh, and that was quite a few. When this close to something so small, it's like trying to hand-hold a 500mm lens steady. I probably would have gotten more keepers by using flash.
