Thank you, David. I have just completed the verification process with PayPal and it should be working now.

The funds donated in the past for the annual Takuma Kajiwara Grave Visit and Cleanup have been re-loaned again via Kiva. This time, your past generosity is going to help a young girl in Vietnam attend school.
I'm hoping to be able to do this again this year. I have no idea if my PayPal problems are straightened out or not. If anyone would like to kick in, actual expenses will run a total of not more than about $30. My PayPal is "mikecashATgmail.com" (Replace the "AT" with @, of course).

Thanks very much. At the moment, for some reason I am unable to receive money via PayPal. If I have it straightened out it time I would be very glad to have some financial help. Not for the money, because the expense isn't great, but so that others can play a part in some way.

Just a reminder that the 3rd Annual Takuma Kajiwara Grave Visit and Cleanup will be November 10th. Anyone who will be in the Tokyo area on that date is welcome to participate.

We just misunderstood each other. You said "since he was drafted", and "drafted" means actually being called to report for military service.

That is only a draft registration card, not an indication of having actually been called for military service.

They're coming.
I think I've figured a workaround. All my photos intended for this thread but not yet posted are tagged "addpftc" so I just have to delete all of those and I can leave the others as they are so as not to ugly up the thread with a whole bunch of "photo deleted" boxes.

Transferring everything to a brand new SmugMug account as I write this. I wish I had the time and the ability to sit down and go back through 700+ pages of this thread and edit in new photo URLs, but I don't.
I spent a lot of time and put in a lot of effort to build up my Flickr account and make the photos easy to find....especially Takumar shots, which get quite a bit of traffic from people looking for representative images....and get a steady 700 ~ 1,200 hits per day, with a total of 1.6 million views so far. Now Flickr has it in mind to use my content and the work I put into making it search engine friendly and use it to host their advertisements, while sharing none of the revenue with the content providers. Instead they'd like to charge me double not to have to look at ad banners myself and have turned the layout into something I find appalling. Huge amounts of angered backlash from people on Flickr and so far not a single word from Flickr in response.
Has Yahoo ever bought out anything they didn't subsequently screw up? Pentax K20D

Everything.
This isn't the place to get into it. I just wanted to explain why all my stuff may disappear from this thread, which where I post the most.

I regret having to say that there is a string possibility all my photos will be disappearing from Pentax Forums in the near future, as I am one of the many people so ticked off by the Flickr revamp that I will almost certainly be migrating to a different service and deleting my Flickr account.

Thanks, everyone. Yes, leg again, but the other one. It seems I developed lymphedema as a consequence of the injury last year.

Excuse my extended absence. I was laid up in the hospital for a week and these days work is so busy I often don't get home but maybe once or twice a week. |

The Pro Low-Light mode is so good that I often dial in a -1 or -2 EV compensation just so it will look like a night shot.

Since it is a communal family tomb the question of whether wife #2 went in or not may have had more to do with the other relatives' wishes than his or hers. Just a possibility.

That's what delayed the release, Rupert. They initially forgot to include bovine capability and had to scramble like mad to implement it at the last minute.
