TMAX & HP5 - these are perfect in the other PENTAX 645N with 120 insert, 16 frames.
The new 645N with included 120 insert or known good 120 insert 15.5 frames and the camera doesn't stop at frame 16. So if I don't pay attention to the counter, the camera keeps shooting as if there is film not done, eventually stopping at frame 19.

I'm on my 4th or 5th Pentax 645N, this one I bought recently at a local camera store. I've noticed two issues with it.
1. It tends to slightly over expose on any auto setting, but fine if I use a handheld meter. So I can live with this.
2. With a loaded roll of 120, it will shoot beyond frame 16 and stop at frame 19. Meaning I've lost three images that I thought I had. I've been able to shoot the camera reliably for 6 or 7 rolls if I watch the frame counter. Spacing seems slightly further down the roll for frame 1 than other 645N - but it is consistent.
I used a known good 120 insert from in this camera and same issue, goes past frame 16 to frame 19. The suspect 120 insert also works fine in a known good body, so it's not the insert.
Anyone had issues with these going past frame 16 with a 120 insert installed? Bigger problems looming or shoot it till it dies?
Thanks in advance.

The thin metal part is an excellent idea!

I'm not opposed to tape and rubber bands, but I'm not there yet. I'm hoping to find a material that will bond to the plastic so I can patch the broken tip. I did order some SUGRU but I have my doubts about it lasting. I'm thinking I'll fill that end of the lock channel and then dremel out the SUGRU making a new channel. If that doesn't work, maybe an epoxy.

I bought a LX Winder and discovered the battery tray does not stay locked in place, allowing the connection to fail. I see the maze on the battery tray for locking is worn where the latch holds the tray secure. Any suggestions to fill in this tip to keep the tray locked in the winder?

I have the first version of the Pentax SMC 15mm f.3.5 lens. I'm really surprised by the low reviews of this lens. I only shoot film and I've found this lens to be a really great performer.

I've owned this lens for some time and I'm very pleased with it.
