Both are good photos but I think djb47's chess scene better exemplifies the theme of symmetry so I am choosing it as the winner.

I just surprisingly won a Pentax-A 35mm F2 as the sole bidder in an Ebay auction. I was totally expecting a bidding war but ended up getting this somewhat rare lens at a great price.

I think I'll give this a first attempt - I need to spend more one-on-one time with the different lenses I've been accumulating. I'll try the A* 300mm f4 on the K-1.

For portraiture, the 77mm Limited. For wide shots, probably the SMC-A 20mm f2.8. For wildlife, the SMC-A 400mm f5.6. For general purpose, the lense that seems to live on my camera the most lately is the SMC-A 50mm f2.8 Macro.

I can't really speak to the design of that central element, but a dashed line like that is the conventional technical drawing notation for a center line. It just represents the central axis of the lens.

SMC Pentax-A* 200mm F4 Macro ED, rated 10.
I definitely got a great deal, about a quarter of the average price, due to the lens being in less than pristine shape. So far it seems to perform well optically though so I'm happy with it. I haven't used it enough yet to know if it lives up to its rating - I haven't quite gotten the hang of manual focus telephoto lenses yet.
