I suffered a stroke some 4 years ago, and one of the legacies I suffer in loss of strength and the use of my right hand and arm. I have recently purchased an Olympus mirrorless camera simply because I can hold it easily in my left hand - unlike my K10D, which is just too heavy. (Shame no one makes left handed cameras!)
Recently I discovered that numerous organisations manufacture different adapters enabling the use of Pentax K lenses on an E-PL1.
Has anyone got first hand knowledge of how well these adapters work, and which is the best?

Thanks for your help, everyone.....it all came back to me after reading your advice! The K10D is working like a dream again! I'm indebted to you all.

Thanks, Not A Number....um....but since the stroke we have moved states and in the move I lost all my K10D documentation...as well as parts of my memory....how do I set the aperture ring... I know this makes me sound like a dummy... but strokes can do things like that :-(

Hi. I have a K10D which I still love to bits, but I had a stroke some time ago, and haven't used it in ages, mainly because the stroke robbed me of my strength and affected me ability to hold such a hefty camera (now I use a Olympus E-PL1which is much lighter). But, today I tried using the Pentax with a tripod...and that's when the problem happened.
I fixed a 50mm FA lens to it, replacing the previous Sigma10-20mm, turned the camera on, but the shutter refused to work. I kept getting an "F - - " flashing in the top window which is split into five boxes. The flashing was happening in the top left hand box. I have obviously done something wrong....
HELP

Hi. I recently suffered a stroke which has left me unable to effectively use my righty arm and hand.
I use a K10D.
Any solutions for me to use the camera? The left hand is fine.....It's just my right hand which is up the-bonzer-creek!
I can still use a tripod or monopod, but pressing down the shutter release has become a nightmare.

I have a SMC-Pentax FA 28-105mm F4-5.6 lens that I purchased on eBay, and which worked perfectly when it arrived. But after using it for about a month, I have problems with the zoom.
When I attached it to my K10D and try to zoom, it keeps wanting to go back to 28mm.
If I hold it at anything greater than 28mm, it still takes great shots, but as soon as I take my fingers off the zoom, it automatically returns to 28mm! It's becoming a pain in the ass. Maybe I have done something wrong to it, but I can't think what. It does have a slider on one side of the lens that puts it in different modes (auto and manual I think, although as it came without a manual, I am only hazarding a guess) plus a round flat button that appears to do very little *lol*.
Help!!!

Anyone know about this lens? The 70-210 is listed on the review site, but there appears to be no mention of the 70-200.
Anyone had any experience of it, and the image quality? Any examples?

Anyone know anything about this lens? Good? Bad? Average? It doesn't appear to be on the Sigma lens reviews site here.
