I just had this problem for the first time in 11 years of owning my K3. The 128 GByte SD card was brand new and there were only 20 file folders on it. The issue I had was the file folder started with 999. The camera would not revert back to 100_XXXX. I put the card in my computer and manually changed the file names from 980_XXXX through to 999_XXXX to 100_XXXX through to 119_XXXX and the problem was solved. I manually reset the counter, essentially.

I was there for 11:00 am on Wednesday when it opened. There were about 1,000 people in front of me waiting. Surprisingly, it was very efficient and I was in within 10 minutes. I spoke with one of the representatives on the Pentax booth. Another chap from New York State came by shortly after. It sounded like he had owned just about every Pentax camera body put out in the last 20 years. The fellow from NY mentioned that he was shooting with a bunch of people and when the light got low, everyone elses cameras were hunting for focus, yet his Pentax was still able to lock on. The Pentax rep said that Pentax's auto-focus isn't the fastest, but it is extremely accurate when focus lock is achieved. They cannot be everything for everybody. The talks at the Expo were pretty good. The ones that were on exhibitor booths either had limited seating or everyone had to stand in the aisle. It was pretty good for the price. The ride home was a nightmare - some slick snow had fallen on the road and it took me 2.5 hours to get home when it took me 35 minutes to get there.

I guess my statistical odds of winning are slightly greater than zero, which is what they would be if I didn't enter....

It's actually a panorama composed of vertical images. I had to be careful - on the right, there is a ski hill chair-lift, so I had to exclude that. On the left, trees from my vantage point would creep in. Underneath, there are some hydro wires and a road. Earlier in the day, the scene was in fog, which obscured the rocks on the escarpment. I kept shooting over 90 minutes in varying conditions of fog. This one is close to sunset, which was behind me.

Let's see if this works. It may have been too long to meet the dimensions criteria for uploading. I dumbed it down.

I like the shapes, colours and symmetry. I wonder how this would have looked if the Sousaphone players were the same height.

This actually used to be a working saw mill back in 1835 until it burned down in 1863. The stone structure was part of the water wheel housing.

Took this shot on October 20, 2019. There was fog in the area and I was looking for a moody shot. The morning was really still.

Thanks - I got a bit lucky as the player paused while I was panning to try to get by a defender and it gave me this nice effect.

What about cropping in so that you can only see one quarter of the CD or less?

Sometimes, when photographing sports, you capture images that you just can't explain - facial expressions that are frozen in time.
