I've got the K-1 and I'm happy with it.
The K-1 ll has incremental, evolutionary changes and in my view that is the Pentax philosophy of design. I did think the new camera was going to have a new sensor with 40 something MP's...whatever the new Sony sensor used in the Nikon D850 with Pentax tweaks, so maintaining the same sensor MP is a surprise. But I must say the 36 MP full frame sensor is a honey of a sensor.
If I didn't have my K-1, I'd certainly be looking at the K-1 ll. Good to see the new camera, continuing the Pentax full frame DSLR line.

I'm quite excited about this. Great camera with some incremental improvements. I didn't get a K1, think I'll go for the mark II.

Didn't see anywhere like this to get the RX100/G9/G7 users together!
Have been very pleased with my old RX100M1, and now have replaced it with a G9X Mark II. Not a replacement for a larger camera, but better than a phone and pocketable!
Let's see how it gets on...

Three new cameras: K-1 mkII, K-3 mkIII and 645z mkII. Announced at CP+ but not all available soon. All using a new generation of sensor with supporting technology.
I am not under NDA so I can tell you the truth as I know it. Also, remember that those who are talking know nothing and those who know are not talking. :)

If you look at historical "mark 2" updates from Pentax, they have been minor and mainly focused on image quality / related features. So I'd expect something like that from the K-1 II.

Monochrome, you're describing precisely why I don't expect more, why I don't expect a major update of the K-1 so soon.
Small as they are, their best effort will be enough for me.

I agree. This is just my inference from the different bits here and there. It might be wrong, but I have some trust in it. And, as far as I agree that some speculation might be useful, I still think that quite often in Pentaxland expectations tend to be set to high and perfectly well balanced products are getting a lukewarm welcome.
Therefore, let's keep it all within sane reasoning and have some fun with speculations, but the final wording will be known when it will be known, soonish :)

My prediction for this K1II: it will not be more than 10% above K1 pricewise. Not long time to go and we will know.

These will be the longest 3 weeks ever. I hope I get it before summer vacation. I've already invested in a few FF lens and a good flashgun, which improved my pictures tremendously, so now time for the body upgrade.

This little guy was trapped in my backyard pond, the water level was low and he couldn't get any traction on the plastic liner to climb out so I helped him out with a rake? gently. I sat him on a rock by the pond and he was kind enough to pose for a shot. The next day he was back in, doh. Rescued again.

A series taken today. The elk are down from up the mountain because of recent heavy snowfall. These are sort of squirrel colored, but an awfully lot bigger. I still miss you Rupert and Otis.
