Number 3 is so amazing. I am blown away. I wish I could learn how to shoot like that. I am surprised that no one is talking about. I cant take my eyes of it. I also liked 5, and 9. But 3 does it for me. Wow. Just wow.

I need the camera to merge one image.
I need to merge 20 images to one. So once Ive taken my 20 images in single shot mode, my camera would then merge them right? I will take my tripod out this Friday, hopefully it will work.

I did it and set it for 5 images, and it just took 5 images, it didnt merge them at all. What am I doing wrong? Was using a manual lens, could that be it?

Yeah I have the physical manual in my hand, I think this might be it. So my next question has to be; Once I set my values, my camera will then do that and make all the images combine into one beauty? I want to make something like this once.

I dont know whats interval shooting or how to set interval speed, Im talking taking a bunch of shots with shorter shutter speeds and adding them up as one shot as if they were one long(er) exposure shot.
thats called multiple exposure right? what am I missing?

Hi guys
Thank you for responding to my thread, I cant seem to find info on this. I selected the multiple exposure function, set it for 10 pics. But it didnt work? How is it suppose to function?
Can someone please either explain this to me or link how to enable this on the k3ii?

Thank you for this input. I am looking into getting an ND filter once I get my tripod. I think it would accomplish pretty much what you describe, especially with a 5, 10 sec exposure shots.
A lot of people use higher iso, may I ask why you stick to 100? especially with a FF. |

I see, thank you. So I just shoot raw dng and thats the only setting I need to concern my self with? other then things like aperture, shutter speed etc. |

I would like this thread to be a place for users of k3 and k3ii to contribute valuable tips that new users and novices like my self and can find useful.
In the long run, it would help tremendously, as more users add specific tips that they figured out for a variety of situations to optimize image quality and general performance.

One more question guys, thank you for the helpful info so far,
If I want to optimize the settings on my k3 ii for daily use, do I make a thread here? or is there a thread made? I have no idea what I am doing. I this seems like a broad question at first, but for walk around the city and local nature spots, I am sure there are some good settings that people really who know that camera and arent complete novices could share with those of us who are just starting out.
I think that it would be a great idea, maybe someone has already came up with it, but I haven't been able to find anything.

Velbon neo carmagne 540 tripod with a
Bentro BH2 ball head

Just as many shots as I can imagine, walking around the city, and woods and general nature shots as well.
I just need a decent all around tripod that will last awhile, I can get a used $400 for roughly half that right? And it would still be sturdy? Especially if its not really showing much signs of wear and tear.
Ideally it can be compact and extent for a good height. Im 6 1 doesnt make sense if I break my back so Id need it tall. |

I am looking to spend at most $200 CAD, on a good tripod that wont break.
So far I gather from responses is that it most will fit my dslr just fine right? So I just have to make sure its sufficiently sturdy right?

Hi guys, this is my first time posting here. Long time lurker.
I recently got my hands on a new pentax k3 II and Im starting to realize the importance of a good tripod.
I have no idea what I am looking for at all. I really do not have the time to go across town with my camera just to see if the seller has the tripod that fits me.
What sorts of things am I looking for and what can I ask the seller ahead of time to confirm whether or not the tripod will fit.
I am thinking of putting an ad kijiji or craigslist for a tripod but I need to know what I am looking for.
Thanks guys. Please keep the pentax brand alive. 6 months ago I shelled out $1500 on camera +couple of lenses, and now my model is discontinued, Im sad.
