Wow!!!! I should probably ask my wife to have a look at this thread before complaining me of having more lenses.
I got 7 lenses for my K1 and 2 for my K30.

From reading a lot before buying the 2/35.ZK .. so the 2/35. I'm actually about to sell it (selling nearly everything due to health and space and circumstances). But it is the most stellar lens of all time for me. It's the God lens.

I took my K1, the D-FA* HD 85/1.4 and the Zeiss 21/2.8 ZK for a ride on Mo the Sickle.
We caught a sunrise at Shorncliffe Pier on the north side of Brisbane last weekend, this was with the Zeiss 21. Mo the Sickle at sunrise by noompty, on Flickr

My apologies for taking so long in getting back to answer your question.
My personal preference is for the 35/2 over my 25/2.8. Having said that these lenses do different things and both need to spend more time on my K-1 as I got used to shooting them with a K5 and the APSC FoV.
From my personal experience the 25 needs me to be more careful in how I use that lens to get the most out of it. It is really very good at minimum focus distance and can be a really enjoyable lens if that's your style of shooting and is definitely one of that lenses strengths. It renders well, has great colours and contrast and if you went with a 25/2.8 I'd be surprised if you were disappointed with it. (NOTE: the image above of Sydney Harbour was shot through a hotel window, thankfully the glass was relatively clean )
Since I picked up the K-1 though I'd have to say the 25 has seen little time on the camera. This is not due to any issues I see with the lens but due to being lucky enough to pick up a 21/2.8 around the same time as the K-1. The 21mm is better for me as I do prefer a wider FoV.
The other lens out of the three you've listed that I do have is the 35/2. I wished I had the 28/2 as well but that will have to wait for now. So why do I prefer the 35/2 over the 25/2.8? Well, I found with the Zeiss lenses that I own that I had a preference to shoot at f2 and this is something that when you get it right with the 2/35 it is real fun and the 3D look is brilliant. I can recommend both of these lenses and think the price, FoV and aperture speed should be the primary elements to make your decision on as both are very good investments. If you want some more feedback on your question I can also recommend you pose the same question in this thread here: Carl Zeiss T* ZK mounts (Distagon, Planar, Makro-Planar) - PentaxForums.com Most of the images above are cross posts as most are in that thread somewhere.
So this thread is where you can check out many more examples of Zeiss lenses on Pentax, including those converted from Nikon mount via a Leitax adaptor. The thread is where you're likely to catch the eye of others with these lenses and get more feedback before you make you decision. Oh, one last thing, don't forget to share some of your images with us in the ZK thread too. That is the important bit after all. :)

Done.
The perfect combination IMHO would be the lettered pentaprism + "license to shoot" underneath, then the PF logo.

Voted.
I chose two, but there were several I would've been happy to vote for.
And, as a first time entrant in the T-shirt contest, I now have a different perspective about it:
I think if anyone finds there aren't enough appealing contest choices, the best solution would be to have more entries to choose from. (Hint, hint... ;))
It's not too soon to start thinking about next year!

I might caution against using a single white balance (colour temp).. that's pretty unique to the situation you're shooting in..
I would also suggest becoming more comfortable with shooting in RAW format and then most of these settings are trivial as you will be manually setting them in post-production with much greater results.
Just my two cents!

For me, post-production is part of the photography experience and I really enjoy being able to impart my own creativity in both image acquisition and post-production.
I like playing with high quality images in post and personally seeing how far I can push a higher quality image over a lesser quality image...
For me, it's all part of the hobby!

Recent Pentax DSLRs (I have K-70 and KP) are capable of excellent in-camera image processing, and of producing excellent out-of-camera JPEGs. If you are pleased with the results that you are getting, and particularly as you have taken the time to adjust the camera settings to your taste and you prefer to do little post-processing, then shooting in raw simply isn't necessary.
It seems likely that you will also have discovered for yourself that, when a result is close but not quite what you wanted, the highest resolution finest JPEG files can be tweaked to your liking in PP, without any noticeable loss of image quality when the photos are viewed properly even at quite large sizes.

How cameras bake their JPEG's by default is extremely varied, from brand to brand, model to model, sometimes firmware version to firmware version within the same camera. You can see that at work with Nikon, Pentax, Sony and anyone else.
If you care about your output quality, getting results you are happy with is always going to involve some fine tuning of equipment and settings, no matter the device or brand.

Try taking a few pictures in RAW, and develop some jpegs in camera, using the different Custom image settings, Landscape, Bright, Portrait, Reversal Film ect, (all from the same RAW) and see the difference, you can then even make your own custom setting that suits your taste by slightly altering the hex tool.

As was said the "Bright" setting may be the cause for your tones. As far as the WB, as was also already said, the appropriate setting for the environment present should be used. For example, Daylight white balance setting for regular daytime shooting outdoors, the Flash white balance setting for when using flash, or a custom WB setting that appeals to you for best effect.
I do switch to AWB on occasion if I find I like the results from it, depending on the light that is present.

The advice regarding white balance is good. I might also ask about computer display calibration and ambient light when reviewing/editing work.

Well , there's your problem, The "Bright" setting.
That's exactly what the "Bright" setting does, look at the colour hexagon in the custom image setting when choosing the custom image , it pushes the blue and yellow, to give exactly what you are describing, where as Portrait, pushes Magenta and green, doing what you say you like from your other cameras'.
Have a look here, it shows and explains the settings and has samples of the differences between them. You can slide the photos from bright to portrait and seeee the difference . Give further expression with PENTAX "Custom Image" | RICOH IMAGING |

No, and I DON'T USE AUTO WHITE BALANCE! I always either pick a relevant WB (Daylight, tungsten, ...) or set a custom WB when I am in a studio.
I would tend to agree that Pentax AWB is not so great. On my Canon G15, however, it's amazingly good.

Sometimes we over think this stuff..... I find the K1 to be a joyfull camera to use with both newish and older lenses. It feels lovely to use with my older lenses..... definately worth it if you can.
