I joined because I'm seriously considering a new K1 Mark 2 and wanted to explore the Pentax community. I started shooting in 1968 while in military service. I was assigned to help out a combat photographer assigned to our unit and we became friends. I do have a Pentax 645N MF film camera that, despite my digitals, I still love to shoot. I also shoot Mamiya MF, Nikon 35MM film, Nikon digital, DX and FX and a full frame Canon 6D MK II. I'm not into Ford vs Chevy, Coke vs Pepsi or any camera comparisons, I love them all. I shoot the events of my life, parties I go to, vacations I go on, family gatherings and landscapes. I'm not a pro and don't pretend to be one or aspire to become one. I just like to shoot. I parked all my film cameras for the winter so I'm not up to date on the 220 film availability issue. Is it coming back? Amazon canceled my last order for it and was the motivation for me to go full frame digital, but I still love to shoot film.
I'm retired and do a lot of traveling and this year we're off to Poland and plan to visit Auschwitz. Maybe I'll have a K1 and be proficient enough to take it. Greetings to all.
