thanks for pointing it out. I had to check again and indeed the green shaky hands appears when doing continuous cif, and disappears after few seconds if I remove my finger from the button. didnt notice that before

hi guys.
new to k5 and dslr world.
first question:
im using nikon manual lens. i have set use aperture ring to yes.
so in AV mode, is it possible to set a minimum shutter speed? so when I press the green button the camera wont attempt to go slower than that
question two:
i understand that I must "short the contacts" using aluminium foil in order to use cif. am I correct?
question three:
can I use continuous shooting with cif? if yes, during the continuous shooting, is the exposure fixed? I mean let's say I compose+pressing green button, then activate continuous cif, and suddenly the subject gets dark. since it is not possible to press green button during a continuous shooting, that behaviour is expected I assume
any help is greatly appreciated.

hi guys, im kinda looking for 90-135mm manual portrait lens for apsc pentax.
there seems to be many choice - tamron adaptall 90mm, vivitar 100mm, what would be your pick?
something under 500grams and not big would be good. tamron 105mm adaptamatic is tiny but very rare ---------- Post added 05-25-19 at 05:39 PM ---------- or should I just get nikon to pentax adapter to adapt my nikon 105mm f2.5 ais? i reckon the glass element in the adapter would degrade image quality

thanks for the help !
sorry I forgot to mention, the 40mm lens does not have aperture ring
so in Av mode, it's only manual focus ?

Hello guys. I've just ordered a pentax 645.
I'm wondering if it's safe to use eneloop batteries with over 2000mah? Should I just use simple non-alkaline eveready batteries?
Ya know like how we can't use alkaline batteries in many alarm clocks which may cause leakage.

thanks both of you. Much appreciated
Im not sure if I understand the "stop down metering" thing though.
I usually shoot A mode, setting the apeture with the aperture ring. I'm a newbie in film, right now shooting nikon AI lens with F601. That one doesn't have dof preview button.
So I'm still kinda confused. Is stop down metering necessary with A mode with lenses that doesnt have communication with the body?

hi guys, can this be used to adapt pentax super takumar 150mm to pentax 645 body? I see that this K&F adapter doesn't have that pin thing-ey
K&F - no pin
Original Pentax - has pin |

My super takumar 35mm f3.5 is sharper than my nikon 20mm f3.5, nikon 24mm f2.8, nikon 50mm f1.4, konica 50mm f1.4, sigma 19mm dn art, sony fe 28-70mm. Only the nikon dx 40mm macro can match it.
I actually prefer single coated for colour, and multicoated for b&w.
Yes, super tak 35mm is truly a gem

thanks thazooo. I do find the takumar output to be incredibly colourful. Just so much nicer than konica hexanons. I guess I will have to play around with the takumar more before deciding.
Yeah I understand that I have to order an adapter with aperture control

hi guys, currently, for normal length, I use super takumar 35mm f/3.5 (the version with distance scale window) on a full frame sony. I'm able to get a 40mm LTD cheap ($120). Wondering if I should take the plunge. Does anyone have experience with both ?
your thoughts and advice would be greatly appreciated.

hello guys. I'm new here. I hope I'm in the right section of the forum.
I need some help, or rather confirmation
I'd like to know if pentax 40mm f2.8 limited and 70mm f2.4 is usable wide open on sony a7s ?
slight vignette is fine.
another question is, I assume I need a pentax k da to sony e-mount adapter to use these? the dumb adapters that has aperture control. then I could focus using the focus ring on these two lens right?
any help would be greatly appreciated !
