ok thanks i do have a gopro 4 maybe stick to it i was just hoping to get better pictures with pentax but also dont want to ruin them as there where my moms

Not sure i am posting this in the right place and could not find a thread on this subject, i am new to both pentax and kayaking, but i want to take my camera long for island hopping, and photos on the water, what do you guys suggest to protect the camera incase of roll over (full submersed) and water splashes(gone for a swim)?

yes , im happy she had such great friends, i always worried about her not going out and meeting people outside her home and room, and computer, she did love her squirrels, my uncles will keep feeding them for her, peanut butter was her thing to keep them still, and peanuts in the yard, lol i always laughed when she told me she did that and then to see it in the photos. thank you all

I'm not sure if this is the right place for this question,im sure you guys will let me know. ok so i always like special effects and the star filters mom used in the beginning, i bought a set 4,6,8 star filters fit for the len's i have, so my question is when my light is right will i see the special effects at work in the view finder? sorry if this is a dumb question.

First , this is one of my first pictures with this camera and lens, i am in love with both and will learn to do better so any suggestions will be greatly appriciated, one of mom's favorite sets as this is what she left together in her bag. aka photolady , as we looked for a place to go fishing i saw this as a chance to shot. im not sure how to get the other info asked for iso,shutter speed and aperture,

thank you all, yes that was my moms plan all of us with pentax camera's and she did it, my oldest now has hers, and i am setting up one for my granddaughter her great granddaughter when she is a bit older, mom started me with the K-x and after a bit moved me up to the K-30. she started my daughter with a K- 5 with two lens , im going through all moms lens and camera's and i have to say i really need her to tell me what all they do, i will not sell or get rid of any of the camera equipment in face i have already ordered some filters that she did not have or had for other lens small then what i have. all batterys have been charged and im getting shots in every chance i get,
