This lens is working rather exceptional on my K1, quite accurate and snappy. I also have the K1ii but haven't even had it on that camera yet, I generally use the K1 as my main body for my main kit and my K1ii stays with and is only used with my Takumar collection.
I'll test this 21mm on my K1ii in the next few days and see if there is an issue.

Funny you mention this as my 43mm got drizzled on pretty good today! I normally don't like shooting in the rain so I think this 43 will likely outlast me. I love the 43mm focal length when the 21mm is too wide. These 3 lenses really do look very similar except for size, the 100 actually could pass for a limited in my opinion. ;)
Awesome trio of kit! ---------- Post added 02-02-22 at 06:45 PM ----------
Your shooting about the same kit as I am, 3 lenses like this are extremely capable of covering a lot of territory!

I doubt that you'll regret buying the 21mm! This 21mm is now my main landscape lens and almost always on my K1, replacing my much larger 24-70mm and IRIX 15mm. My kit is trimmed down to the 21mm, 43mm, 100mm macro WR. I can do most of my landscapes and nature photography with just these 3 lenses alone. My kit is MUCH LIGHTER now!
There's still room in my bag to toss in the 15mm IRIX if I know I'm going to need a super wide. But, I can also just use the 21mm to do a wide pano if needed. This 21mm is incredibly versatile and a great lens. I also have room to toss in the 70-210mm f4 if I know I might need a little reach and compression.
Moving forward, the 21, 43, and 100 have been working great for what I do and my back and knees thank me!

I'm also liking the 3D effect of this lens. I was only a couple feet away from this turkey and shot it at f/2.4, my copy of the lens is pretty sharp wide open (when focus is nailed).

This 21mm lens is the first lens I've bought in several years that I didn't immediately test for focusing micro-adjustments etc. I've been working so much lately I just put it on the camera and started shooting with it. It seems to be perfect right out of the box which is actually a bit unusual. The only real negative I see is a bit of purple fringing shooting through trees with bright skies behind them. There's a couple shots I took where I actually couldn't clean it completely up in post. Regardless, I'm 110% happy with this lens and I used some JB Weld and permanently attached it to my K1 !!!! LOL ---------- Post added 12-06-21 at 05:37 PM ----------
Nice photo's! (you don't need to be an expert photographer to take good photos) ;)

The sharpness, close up ability, and smooth bokeh really make this lens more versatile than one would expect for such a wide angle lens.

I've had the K1 since it was released 4 years ago or so and this morning is the first day I actually realized what the green buttons purpose is and what it could actually be used for!
Embarrassing to admit but I've never needed to use the green button until I got this SMC Pentax 135mm f/2.5 Lens a week ago!

I'll quickly adapt and get used to the green button metering with this lens. I was surely scratching my head though trying to figure out how to use it! LOL (I thought I knew everything! haha)

I got the green button to meter for me! I really appreciate your help, I was about to give up with this lens.
I just used the green button and shot a few shots with this lens at f8 and it is really sharp. Not bad at all for a 40 year old lens!

I'm just having trouble now being able to set the exposure as there isn't a metering scale in the viewfinder like most other cameras have when in manual. Basically having to guess and adjust.... ---------- Post added 12-20-20 at 07:53 AM ---------- It would probably be much simpler cutting the lever off and just shooting this lens in AV mode to where the camera would meter and adjust the shutter speed like it does with all my M42 lenses! LOL

Ok, when in M Mode, if I set the aperture ring to say, F8, and look down in to the lens when I snap a pic I see the blades stopping down (closing) when pressing the shutter button. I didn't know the lens/camera operated this way with manual lenses with the lever.....Obviously I have to shoot this lens in M mode!
Thanks for your help!

The aperture opens and closes fine when I spin the ring if the lens is off the camera. I have the cameras Aperture ring setting #26 set to enable as I've spent the last 4 years using the K1 with manual lenses (M42 Mount). This 135 is the only K mount manual lens I own with the lever that sticks out the back of the lens. (it doesn't have the A or M option on the lens itself)

Hi, I have a SMC Pentax 135mm f/2.5 lens, this is the exact lens at link: SMC Pentax 135mm F2.5 Reviews - K Prime Lenses - Pentax Lens Reviews & Lens Database
I'm trying to use it on the K1 and when I mount the lens the lever on the back locks the aperture wide open and there is no way to stop the lens down. I've tried about everything I can think of and either I am missing some camera setting or the lever needs to be removed.
Do I need to cut the lever that sticks out the back of the lens off? or is there a work around? I'm stumped.
Any help would be appreciated as this lens is pretty sharp wide open and I'd love to see what it can do stopped down some.
Thanks

I've tried that and it moves the focus point when using the viewfinder but not in liveview....
I also have the AF button being used for back button focusing if that makes a difference. ---------- Post added 10-27-20 at 04:24 AM ----------
OK, I just figured it out! Thanks
