I would go for a 2,8/50mm macro, well I did - on the crop that's a 75mm so good for portraits, but also details, landscape and compact enough for a "walking around lens". The thing about the 1,8/50 or the old 1,4 or 1,7/50 is, that you usually go down to at least f2.8 to get better results and to f5.6 to get the best - with the macro you are already ok to use it wide open.

Hi there,
my short intro: I have been looking at this site since quite a while - was working with different cameras in the past - but the past also brought me back to Pentax (used in earlier days the ME-F which was my first camera). So looking forward reading more from you guys. Already realized that Pentax people seem to be a nice folk :)
