Personally I do the opposite ….. take my old color photos or other old photos of interest to me ….. scan them and complete a b&w conversion.
I also prefer to see old films in their intended b&w version.

Underfire: the Untold Story of Pfc. Tony Vaccaro (2016)
Vaccaro carried a cheap rangefinder camera and a rifle as an infantryman in WW2; extraordinary photos in this collection of thousands of frames during combat.....well done film which I got from Netflix

I sold my Q; just could not warm up to it. I love the Pentax primes including the pancake. Most of my shots are done w the 15 or 21.

yes I would use shutter priority but my niece wants to keep it simple....I told her to use the tv with auto iso
I would like to know how the scenes work since I never use those settings....can you still set auto iso w action scene?

Using the action scene on the K-30, what is the default speed?
I never use the scene settings but my niece is having some blur w the action scene on the k-30 and 18-135 that I gave her when I updated to new pentax. I ask her to bring me the camera in order that I can check her set up but would like to know that default....thanks in advance

Well I was lucky to have something similar happen to me, so I did splurge on camera equipment. I gave my k-30 to a niece and bought a K-70; also bought a Fuji X-e3 with 23...and a Domeke messengIer bag. I still hope for Pentax to make a similar camera to go with my 15, 21, 40 and 70 but know it will never happen

I just bought a K-70 and love it...replacing my K-70. I have owned a long line of Pentax cameras including the simple K1000 and the Pentax film 645...solid in the Pentax camp. I just think a Pentax similar to the Fuji x series would be perfect companion for my Pentax primes 15, 21, 40 and 70....and yes I do own a Fuji x.

I like my 21 as the perfect walk around lens for most of my photo opportunities with apc...as I used 35 in old film days If I want something a little longer will use my 40 pancake but also have the 15 which I love and the 70. I am not a zoom guy

just bought a K-70; felt it was time to upgrade from K-30. I shoot with 15,21,40 and 70 primes...love to shoot with this kind of compact setup. It reminds me why I went to Pentax in ancient film days. I also shoot with a Fuji X-e1 and wish Pentax would make a similar mirrorless...pentax primes would be perfect for similar body ..of course I am probably the only person that would like to see this.
