Cool idea!
IMO on the first the framing is too close, and there are too many distracting things. I don't know how to look at it. It's like the smoke and the girl are competing for the attention. The most interesting parts are from the girl mask to the smoke (upwards), but they have a weak position on the framing.
The second is better IMO. Maybe it has too much empty space at the bottom.
