I wasn't speculating about a digital 67, just a film camera.
Hell. I'd love to see a true 6x7 digital sensor, the price though will be ridiculous! Also I'd be curious how much more quality from a phaseOne will be getting.
At this point I'm even wondering if they could just put the 67II in production again, well with modern parts since I guess the old ones will be hard to come across and just call it 67III.

I've been thinking about this for a while, looking on ebay the prices for medium format bodies are a bit ridiculous considering how old they are.
Curious if it will make sense, financially speaking, for Pentax to develop a 67III. I think a lot more people are willing to spend 1500-2300 £/€/$ for a new body with warranty instead of a 30+ years old one, well at least me.
Also at the moment there really isn't any competition, haven't heard anyone developing or having the intention to develop a medium format film camera.
My opinion is that having a monopoly on it you could justify the R&D of a next 6x7 camera.
What do you think, will we ever see some new medium format camera, either from Pentax or someone else?

Like the idea behind this photo, but how come you didn't decide to focus on the ring instead of the outer glass?

I really like the way it's framed, but way too much saturated for my taste.

I really like the barrels on the foreground, they give a nice contrast to the picture.

I don't know if this has already be said, but I think Pentax at the moment is lacking a "cheap" DSLR.
I'm talking in the price range of 500 with a kit lens and probably a FF at around 1K also with a kit lens.
So probably people instead of going for a D3300, with some good marketing they'll choose the Pentax entry-level.

Thank you guys for the replies.
So have I understood correctly, using just K mount (not A), I'll still have the metering but no Automatic setting? Which I don't even care about.

Last week I bought this film SLR and it came with a Pentax A zoom 35-70 1:3.5-4.5.
Would like to get some compatible prime lenses, like a 35, 50, 85 and probably a macro lens that will work with this camera.
It doesn't have to be necessary a Pentax lens, a compatible one will do just fine.
I know that with A lenses I can just put them on A and shoot on AUTO, but I don't know if with other lenses I would also have the metering.
