My home is a 15-minute drive from Princeton University. I started in photography with film in 1987 but switched to digital photography in 1999. I currently shoot with a Fujifilm X-T2 and Fujifilm XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR. I have rediscovered film with an Asahi Optical Co. Pentax Spotmatic II and a few SMC Takumar primes which I also use on my Fujifilm X-T2 with an adapter.

Not enough coffee yet. I am not 100% responsible for my posts until the necessary caffeine level has been reached :o

I haven't tried the mirrorless R cameras yet. I've played with some Canon SLR and DSLRs, and they were OK. The low end stuff felt lower-end to me than Pentax equivalents of the same era, but reasonable for the price. The mid-to-higher end stuff I tried seemed good, though I'd still say the higher end Pentax gear felt more solid. The top level Canon gear felt great, as expected given the pricing. I've never been a fan of the control wheel on the back, though, nor the upright control wheel on the top panel. The ergonomics always felt a bit "off" to me. But I guess it's something you get used to, as with any other brand's quirks (and they all have them)...

Those lenses are often used on m43 cameras also using washers as aperture stops. Seems like a fun kit with film as well. I can't recall if the 70mm will fit the adapters for m43.

Fun. I need to play with my recently acquired more complete set. I got some film for it late last week and shot all 5 lenses I have just to see how things checkout but want to play with it more. I recommend getting a reverse mount adapter and a focusing helicoid that extends to a ways beyond 30mm if you don't have one already. Take that 70mm and reverse mount it on the helicoind and have some fun on a k-mount camera.

Whenever anyone would say "They don't make them like they used to", my dad would reply "They never did" lol
My dad has passed on to the Kodak museum in the sky so I will say it for him...
They never did!

At a local county park along the river, the local electricity utility provided two poles spliced end-to-end, with a platform and perch on one end, and crews to install the whole thing. As they had hoped, a pair of ospreys moved in and set up housekeeping. Here are two views of the arrangement
