I've purchased several lenses from MPB. Found their item descriptions were accurate, the merchandise was well-padded for safe delivery, and transactions were conducted on a timely basis. I've found them to be a good vendor overall.

The Pentax DA21 offers a great combination of image quality and compact size in a lens with a focal length that is quite versatile on crop sensor cameras. It's useful for capturing scenes handheld. The attached image was taken with a K70 in April 2019. This is a view outside the fort in Nizwa, Oman. The harshly glaring tropical sunlight, cloudless blue sky and solid dun color of the fortress walls hinted toward chiaroscuro and I like the rendering of the image in black and white.

A photo of our handsome cat, Ralphie, taken on a sunny morning last October. The curtain behind him softened the illumination just enough to make the image workable; I needed to adjust the light settings in Lightroom to deal with the harsh backlighting.

I was lucky to get this shot last Saturday. The bird had perched briefly on a telephone pole in the alley behind my house in Chicago. Crop of photo taken with K70 and Pentax SMC-A 35-105.

I've had the K-70 since last spring. It's my first DSLR camera -- an upgrade after many years of using various Canon point-and-shoots. I especially like the wide range of vintage lenses available for reasonable prices; useful for learning which types of lenses I prefer to use without breaking the bank. The cat photo was done with a Pentax A 24-50mm F4. Probably not the ideal lens for shooting a subject 2 feet away, but I like the appearance of depth in this image.
