There's speculation, indeed, because primary sources are basically non-exant. However, I have several sources, for example: Spanish Flu: Origins and Facts - HISTORY
Not that it's important, btw. And, indeed, this cornavirus is nothing like that influenza virus at all!

This weekend I went on a short trip to a nearby town, which was hampacked with other tourists... sigh. Oh, well, I thought. There were lot of cameras, the usual suspects, Canons, Nikons, I saw 1 Sony a7 and a surprising number of Lumix bridge, superzoom cameras! And mobile phones, of course. Everywhere, from the people who just snapped pictures, the selfie stick couple trying to get in frame a huge Gothic cathedral in the sun while being in the shadows (HDR working hard!) to the candid elder taking pictures of the very same Gothic cathedral ceilings with his phone flash or recording video with the flash on (let me tell you, they were at least 35m high!). Sigh. Anyway, we went for lunch to a reservation-first, crowded place and while we were waiting for our table to be ready, we thought of asking for a wine. On the bar, there was a couple, and the young woman tells me (translated, hard to fish the slang equivalents from Spanish, but, well you get the gist): (dramatized): Pointing to my K-3, sporting the 18-135mm WR
She: Well, that's an impressive piece of machinery!
Me: Well, it's just an old camera...
She: I'm a photographer, I have a Canon, and I can see that's a blast of a machine! ("un maquinón" in the original Spanish)
Me: Well, it certainly serves me well... It's capable of more than I am, so it's great for me to learn.
She: No kidding... The floor master comes looking for us.
He: Your table is ready...
Me: Alright, nice to meet you. Bye.
She: Bye...
That was really funny. "I have a Canon" as an authority card is certainly novel, especially since she never told me which one! "I have a Canon 1Dx mark II" gives some perspective, right? Right? :-D
And then un maquinón... LMAO
It's clear, folks: Pentax K-3 still rocking sexy in 2019! :-)

If APS-C is for sports/wildlife and full-frame for landscapes and photolab work, then a better and faster AF system will be very welcome, of course. Particularly 3D AF, which objects moving away the camera or towards the camera (like birds or cars moving in diagona, or in a panning shooting in burst).
However, APS-C is also smaller and lighter, and thus ideal for street and general travel and all that, and then the current SAF is not that bad... Just make it a bit faster and it would be a charm... :-)
BTW, I have just seen the new images, the new camera is a beauty, I'm in love... :-)

Well, despite the fact I do like {Fred} for some reason, I think K*3 is the APS-C name (Key Star Three). This leaves K*1 for the Full Frame and everybody happy... :-) And it is consistent with other current Pentax naming convention on lenses... But K-3* (Key Three Star) would also work.
On the other hand, We can jump to the M and start all over again: M1, M2, and so on. Or DM, or anything... We have had the *-ist, why not Pentax Hashtag? Pentax #NotDeadBaby, Pentax #3, Pentax #AnniversaryEdition aka #AE, and so on... It's modern and makes its own Social Media publicity... And I only ask for a unit in return... :-)

Well, in one twisted way, it's the nature of the beast: number of posts instead of likes our quality or other criteria. You cannot really blame the users... It's contest time... [emoji4]

What an amazing, beautiful, frightening, little cat!
It's in moments like this that I can fully understand William Blake and his "Tyger, tyger, burning bright....". Such a fearsome symmetry!
My best wishes to that valiant woman's recovery, I hope her love for those magnificent beasts is not harmed by this unfortunate encounter and she can go back to her life with joy and enthusiast.

You guys are taking things too seriously... This is a comedic channel, he always gives interesting points of view with seemingly absurd arguments. It's almost dadaist in form. Lol.
And, yes, this video is about how absurd is the sensor size war, as if sensor alone could determine how good a camera is. Besides, it's genius, come on! "Mini half size?" LMFAO
I seriously recommend the Camera Conspiracies channel, it's a fresh POV in a saturated, often sold soul ridden vlogosphere.
Pax!
