I generally hate touch screens on a camera.
Secondly, why sacrifice a photographers tool quality by replacing it with the needs of a videographer? That doesn't make sense. I switched from Canon to Nikon and landed here with a Pentax for the sake of priorities.
The image matters more than accessible features that commonly distort the organic capture AND with good equipment there is less need for post-editing which also subtracts on quality.
Canon is insensitive of shadowing which breaks down rendering from the get-go and Nikon can't get their colors right while also influencing too heavy a mood for a naturalist capture.
If you love good photos that are closest to what is rendered to the human eye then it's worth it to be Pentaxian.

Feeling some kind of way this year after losing my father to alzheimers. The deterioration of my loved ones is something that I can feel on my own body and I believe that kind of empathy to be a divine feminine characteristic. But as the nothingness grows, so does the spirit wanting to fly and I can only encourage the will to break free of the perverse materials that keep us contained. Let none of us be a prisoner to the mirage of eternal youth.

This is an image taken with a Pentax k70 with the kit 18-135 Lens. I performed the post editing with pic monkey and went in an fluorescent color direction for a contrast of the subject. I don't have much editing experience except for the basic things that windows offers and the Nik Collection editor but even those I have quit utilizing for the sake of clarity.
Do you think it is worth it to use pic monkey?
Are there other online editors out there that you would instead suggest?
Below is the unedited image:
Just a newbie at editing. Thanks for viewing!

Very insightful, thanks :)
Also, very wise trade off of a lens rental vs. car rental. No point getting somewhere quickly, better to slow down for the shot hah!

Hi,
I have been here maybe a bit over a week now and enjoying everything I am learning here. It feels good to know there is a community of Pentax users who can stand by each other in our professions and hobby of creating photos..
I decided to make the switch from my Nikon and could think of no better value for an upgrade than a Pentax k70 until I can afford a K-1 or K-1 II. Seriously have my eye on the August but maybe wishful thinking lol.
It's been 12 years now that I have been messing around with Photography as a hobby and started to take it more seriously when I got a license marketing deal with Getty through the EyeEm community which I recently left due to a change in their privacy policy.
Up until a month ago I did not know much about Pentax but being the obsessive person that I am, hunted down every little nitpicking thing that a fine photographer would want, and this is it. So, nice to meet you all!
I've attached some images I took with a Nikon Coolpix P530 over the past three years. Looking forward to being inspired by everybody's talent here!
Just keep snapping..

I love abstract and creative photography the most. As far as clarity and things, I go by feel but am still amateur in a sense that I may be unaware of some ways to make photos better by maximizing the resolution, etc. If you have any tips or critiques, I would love to hear them! Thanks for viewing :)
