I cannot believe this lens is still up for sale. I have a much more used & abused copy of this lens, and it is easily my favorite for visits to the zoo, lunar shots, etc. Except - mine looks like it has been through a war! This copy looks like it has been babied its entire life. Best of luck with the sale. If this goes much lower, I may have to buy yours and throw my copy up on the o'l flea bay!

While the OP does have some valid complaints, I just wish to echo these comments, and they are spot on.
I’ve long been been longing for a 645Z, and I’m guessing many others here in the forums have, too. Dollar for dollar I believe one would be hard pressed to find equal photo quality in a similarly priced format system. I would be willing to bet you would easily find a buyer for your system right here on this forum.

Thankfully, it is just 'gunk' from my make-shift Bahtinov mask that I made out of a few layers of Gorilla tape, then used the edge of it to adhere to the lens. When I removed it I didn't even notice the residue on the threads. I've since cleaned it and have taken a few more pictures, only to realize my iCloud storage is full (so my pictures aren't backed up...) I've just upgraded my iCloud account and am trying to push the backup from my iPhone so I can get the photos off of iCloud. As soon as the backup finishes, I'll upload a couple more pictures to show the clean threads.
I don't actually have a filter in this size so I cannot test it to be 100% sure. I can try to find one to test if you'd like, just let me know.

The "F---" represents the fact that the camera cannot communicate with the lens to find the F-stop. As funny as it would be for Pentax to list the 'duck' in there, that is most certainly not the case :-)

This is a surprisingly clean copy of this old lens. Sadly, I don't think I ever used it more than just practicing with Manual Focus...and I'm still not very good at it. I've taken some of my favorite moon shots with this lens. But, I'm saving up for a faster telephoto (...I'll be saving for awhile). Overall, pretty clean copy of this lens. Glass looks great, there is dust present which is typical for a lens this age (doesn't really show up well in the photos, but expect there to be dust present). Comes with tripod collar and both caps which I believe to be original. There are some engravings which I've tried to highlight in the photos.
