You don't the see truck? Look again.
We are posting photos on public forums. Opinions are not optional on public forums. It's funny, "positive", supportive opinions, seem not a problem. ---------- Post added 12-26-23 at 10:36 AM ----------
Look at that! A decent shot! (#6880) Lighting better, good pose and the background is decent. The model actually radiates style. Now - guys who think that I shouldn't criticize or voice an opinion - compare that to the technical quality of shot #6858 and the previous two shots (especially the lighting). Do you see a difference?

Where did I say I find the photos offensive? I really like some of his work in Flickr.
The only way we learn and grow is by taking in other people's criticisms. Photography is art and the minute we get offended by honesty, we should stop and take up accounting.
I don't think Lerolls stops posting here because he got some criticism. He's a pro.

Neither. With all due respect, you have some good examples of photos on Flickr, but the ones you post here are just sub-par. Sometimes lightly dressed ladies are just not enough.
#6858 is probably the worst example I have seen yet, and I would not post this anywhere. I'm surprised the model doesn't withdraw her consent. The background is abysmal (you couldn't move the truck?), the shine on the model's face is amateurish, the image is crooked and the pose is trashy (maybe that's wanted, I don't know). The latest ones have harsh shadows, the flash output is way too high. The pose of model number one emphasizes that, it looks like she uses her arm and hand to shield her from the flash. The best one is the candle shot, but even that is kind of mediocre.
I know some people get clicks and likes just by posting images of semi-nude models and people hold back with criticism because they like to see more if it, no matter what.
My opinion: These pictures have neither style, nor sex appeal (to some maybe, that's a matter of taste) and on top of it they are badly crafted.
I'm surprised, because like I said your Flickr page has some good photos. So you can do better.
Personally, I find - and that is my own opinion of course - that nudes and semi-nudes have to have a certain technical standard to be tasteful and to stand out from the millions over millions of sex-sells-click-bait images we are bombarded with every day. And, no, B/W doesn't save them either.
I hope this was not too harsh and should be understood as constructive criticism.

Yes. This was taken at a medieval market last weekend. In Germany these are called "Spanferkel" and are prepared for big festivities. German markets have slim-pickings for Vegans and vegetarians.

Nice Fall morning. It was supposed to rain today, but a quick look out of the window and look at this. I'm going out with a camera today :)

Absolutely. I love this thread! I love that these older cameras are being used.

When we prepared for afternoon tea and briefly left the room, our cat (his box is in the background) looked somewhat guilty. It took a while to spot the evidence. Do you see it?

My very talented wife took these photos on trips to Ecuador and Peru with her Nikon D40. I post with her permission as these photos need to be seen by other photographers. I keep telling her she should show her work more :) |

K110D with Rikenon 50mm 1.7. That lens is sharp. A bit tricky to focus, though.

Out and about with a K110D I was given the other day. The person wanted to throw it away. It has 6k actuations and looks like new.

Update: Thanks very much for your toothpaste tip!! I didn't use toothpaste, but I remembered years ago, I had to polish a scratched watch with an acrylic crystal. I used a product called "Polywatch" back then. I found the half used container and tried it on the K100D viewfinder. It took the micro-scratches right out and the viewfinder is crystal clear!

Thank you! I will try the toothpaste thing. It can't make things any worse. I can hardly focus as it is now and rely mainly on the focus confirmation dot. I will fix it eventually as I like a challenge :)

Finally had some time to try out my K100D Super. Unfortunately my viewfinder is pretty scratched and cloudy. I have to find a donor camera to get it fixed.
These two are taken with a Rikenon 50mm f1.7 I found on a flea market for $10. I like it, it's really compact.
This one is taken with a Tokina SD 70-210mm f4-5.6, I picked up on Ebay for $15. This is a great lens, especially for the money... |

No problem here with a 32gb Sandisk micro SD card and the Sandisk adapter it came with. I use micro SD cards with adapters in most of my cameras without issues. The only camera that doesn't read the adapted cards is my old Nikon D40.

Maybe you think in different levels. I have many prints of my photos in our house and I sold a quite a few on stock photography sites. I printed 60x90s before (rare), even from 12mp cameras (D700) and nobody ever complained about the quality. Maybe because the people stand a few meters away from the print? I think if I would be that concerned with resolution and would sell a lot of prints this big, I would invest in a medium format setup like a Fuji GFX, but only if customers demand it. And no, 60mp does not always have more detail than 36mp. It depends on many factors.
