Yello! First photo contest submission from me. Early morning meant a pretty high ISO was required so it's a little noisy, but the light looked great diffused through the spoonbill's wings. Hope you like it!

Forum: Pentax K-1 & K-1 II

Newbie here. I've been messing with this issue a bit as well and haven't really made much progress. If it's any help here's my findings after doing the firmware update to v1.5 (v1.40 addressed this issue - well apparently it did). Granted I did this on the K-1 mark 1 instead of K-1 II, but the difference I did see seems negligible, and if anything worse. Settings were 2min exposure at ISO3200 with the lens cap on: I did this purely to test the before and after difference. I've had worse issues with this than seen below when doing actual star photography. Maybe the cold has an effect? Anywho, 1:1 crops:

Hey Pentax community,
New member from the netherlands here. I've been shooting on the K-1 for a few months now and thought it was about time to join the forum, seeing as it's been quite useful in the past. Hopefully I'll be aqcuiring a k-mount film camera as well pretty soon to play around with (MX?). Mostly doing landscapes and animals, bit of astrophotography and macro stuff. Pretty much just a hobby although I've been following some photojournalism courses so we'll see where that takes me. Thanks for all the help so far between the forums and lens reviews!
