It is fiddly, but I've always got it to work eventually on my K-70.

A second hand Petri SLR that my dad bought for me when I was fourteen. I've still got it, and it still works.

In Lightroom it's very easy to remove these sensor marks. There's even a built-in filter for the purpose. It's just a click of the mouse.

I have two Pentax film cameras bought originally in the eighties, the ME Super and the LX, the latter being by far the better of the two. I believe the LX to be probably one of the best SLR cameras ever made, especially given the huge array of accessories at the time.
Pentax recently introduced the B&W version of the K-3 III, and it sold out various times. This shows there is a market for (expensive) specialised cameras.
So, if Pentax want to get it right returning to another specialised market, that of film cameras, I believe they need to produce something special to entice people back into film, and what better than a new version of the LX. They wouldn't have to redesign it, it was near perfect then, just reproduce it with modern manufacturing techniques. Add the fact that all the vintage lenses out there would be perfectly compatible, you've got a winner!

Crumbs! What a good idea. I have an LX, albeit not used for some time, but I noticed the last time I checked the camera that the mirror was indeed sticky. Great tip.
I use a pencil for the thread around screw-on filters and lens hoods. They never get stuck.

I have two K-70s. I've tried all sorts of things over the years, but now, in settings, I have the highlight, shadow and noise reduction all set to Auto. I do a lot of real estate shoots using bracketing at various EV settings obviously depending on lighting conditions, and have never had a problem with highlights, shadows or noise that couldn't be handled in PP.

Indeed! I'd been on the lookout for a second body for some time. I was also interested in the PLM lens. Then, to find them both one Sunday morning on Facebook, and to find the guy lived literally 5 minutes up the road, I couldn't believe it!

I've recently acquired a second hand copy of this lens. Having compared it to the Sigma 18-300 lens, which I also own, I'm very impressed at the speed of focusing with the PLM. It's early days, but so far so good!

A second K-70 body, as my original one has the aperture block problem, together with a 55-300 PLM lens, and three vintage SMC lenses, a 35mm a 50mm and 100mm, another charger, 2 batteries and a camera bag, all for a bargain price here in Spain, from a local Facebook post.
