AFAIK DCU can only export the 3 embedded exposures, it can not do the actual HDR processing. What you are seeing here are probably just the first or last exposure.
Try loading the HDR DNG into something like Aurora HDR.
Or use the in-camera developer to export as TIFF.

looks like a corrupted card and/or broken filesystem. if you really need to recover some photos, avoid writing to the card, keep it out of camera, don't mount it on the PC etc. The process of recovery is a little more involved and best done by an expert.

i think i have the same "issue" and i still run v1.50. 99% of my lenses are FF so i just have it set to FF in my user modes. Not an issue really.

Restore default will not reset the firmware version.
Sdxc /64gb requires a specific file system format that is less compatible with macOS. Using the disk utility try removing all partitions from the card, and then try formatting it with the camera again.
