Taken a while ago after a storm in the UK. The sun came out immediately after and produced this effect on the vinyl

Thanks for all your input.
I was only goofing about with my old lens as I have kept it for so long. I reconfigured the setting for the camera 'use aperature ring off' as advised earlier. to 'on' to use for the old lens. I appreciate my old lens does not have an A setting.
I have another lens a Tamron 28-300 with a 1:3.5 to 6.3 Marco. This does have an A on the aperture ring but needed no configuring of the camera as its only about 12 years old.
I tried the reset and it worked. Camera works fine.
I will use it on the SCN mode for a while then then try the P Mode.
Thanks for all your help.
Anyone need a paperweight....
Cheers

Well wish I had not bothered. It worked for six pictures just messing about then stopped with no shutter release.
Put the original 18-135 lens back on dis-configured the internal setting and on auto pic still wont release the shutter.
Auto focus works along with anything else what have i buggered up?
Thanks

Hi all
I have an old lens I bought for a roll fim KX in the 70's!!!
I would like to try it on my K 70. Does the camera need much configuring and does it need to be reset each and every time after?
The lens which weight a ton is a Makinon telephoto 80-200 with a macro 1:4 to 1:10. Usual bayonet mount,
Its got sentimental value. If its possible I would be grateful and it needs to be idiot proof.
Cheers

Thank you all very much. Digital Foci looks the business. I have a load of SC cards but I don't want the restriction of keeping the camera on the lowest resolution to maximise the cards usage.
I go to Canada once a year and we are away from civilization internet etc. Plenty to photo like the chap attached giving me the stink eye a few years ago.

These must be available. Looking for a rechargeable battery powered unit that will store my photos from the sd card while in the field and clear the card for more use without lugging a netbook or similar about. This needs to be without wireless although that would be helpful to transfer elsewhere later or via usb. . Its needs to be able to read a 64gb ScanDisk Ultra. Be even better if it would connect back to my K70 some how to view. Hope this makes sense
Thanks

Hi Swanlefitte
Still no pairing of the camera and the phone. The phones wifi has the pentax in the list. No point in selecting that as the phone thinks its a wi-fi next work and of course drops out when it realises it.
I select the K70 in the App put in the camera passcode and the phone spins trying to connect and times out. Never got further than that. No images stored or visible on the phone.
Thanks

Thanks I tried that the camera was visible in the phone wi fi menu. But highlighting it, the phone thinks you are switching to a new wi fi called Pentax and wont connect. I open the app and there is no connection. Tried the other way again same thing as I originally mentioned. ---------- Post added 11-12-18 at 01:22 PM ---------- Back again, I got some kind of communication between the two but it thinks I want to use the phone to operate the camera remotely. Is life really this complicated.

Having problems with my Samsung S6 connecting to the Camera wirelessly after downloading Image Sync. Done everything it asks and the connection just spins on the phone till it times out. Even paid and down loaded Pentax Photo Sync. Same thing. Is Samsung a problem?
Thanks
