I absolutely agree! Whether you are a beginner, some sort of professional, or somewhere in between, the K-70 (and a good WR kit lens) makes a combo that you can't touch anywhere else for that price. Favorite features include weather resistance, shake reduction in the body (great for those older lenses too!), pixel shift, wifi built in, and the one that made me pick between it and the KP, the fully articulated screen!

I picked one up back in July for $400USD in mint condition and only 400 clicks on it,it even included the battery grip, love this camera so much I picked up another yesterday at a pawn shop that I have been watching over the last 11 months. It is a silver edition with battery grip with only 4000 clicks on it. The starting price 11 months ago was $860 USD, I got it for $300.
Now I have two K3s, 1 K5, and a K01. Sure loving the K3s tho.

I love the Drake Wood Duck in his breeding plumage
( btw, this photo was taken after my K 3 and DA 300mm hit the side walk, so it looks like no real damage was suffered to either )

From the Blood Bowl above to the Gold Bowl here, still K-3 and DA 10-17 Fisheye with Metz 58 AF-2 John @ Bar 8/52 by Eric C, on Flickr
Decided not to take K-1 along for the trip up the coast for this event, mainly because I was not willing to deal with the bulk and weight of K-1, also for shooting events K-1 RAW files can add up really quickly. K-3 was more nimble, also it has a higher fps than K-1, enabling me to spray and pray later with my DA* 50-135 f2.8

Thank you for the nice comment. They are difficult at times and super fun. I feel more part of the show than the other folks in the audience.
LOL, I know about the geriatric set. When I photograph classic bands, they are always older too.

I posted this in the "Your Shots" forum, but, although it's not the most perfect shot, the fog and streetlight was somewhat eerie and lovely. |

This lens always performs well for me and is versatile. This was taken at 24mm, a range where it is particularly good. IMGP4258 by tw0759, on Flickr

Thanks, well I don't think so, because my PP ability wasn't as good as today, those days. :D
maybe some contrast and clarity added to the whole shots.
Thanks, I appreciate it.
Well, to be honest, after some months of using this lens, I felt like it's not a good lens. and was looking for better glasses, but later when I had better glasses and compared them, I found that this is a great lens for what it is! and now I like it so much.
and It's really sharp in the center! right from f/5.6, specially in close focusing. and that's great I think for a lens with this range and features.
For the second shot, I captured more than 20 shots! to get one which the dragonfly is in focus. while I set the focus on nearest place and moving forward/backward to get it in focus.

Mtux,
# 1 and # 2 are exceptional photographs.
I have an 18-135 and I feel that this lens has got a bad rap by some. When you see the quality of photography you do, with this lens....makes me think perhaps the people that complain about the lens, should perhaps think that maybe it's not the 18-135, but their skill that's wanting..
Excellent photography, Mtux.
