Anyone have any examples? How do you guys like this lens? This is a good addition to my kit. I now have the original P645, 45mm, 75mm, 120mm Macro, and 200mm. I would like to replace the 200 with an 80-160mm, which I had at one time and sold with another kit. Looking back, although it is a heavy lens, I really liked its versatility.

To test your theory, connect a 9v battery to the remote battery leads on the bottom of the grip, Check continuity between the leads and the internal battery holder contacts to determine polarity. This would take the battery holder out of the equation.

Have not logged on here in a bit. Just spoke with Alex. My wife previously mailed out a holder 3 weeks ago. Lost in the mail I guess. I will file a claim with USPS and am shipping out another today.

So I have built and sold several of the P645 manual focus camera battery holders. I have yet to find a 3D model of the battery holder for the P645 N and Nii autofocus models. Maybe I just have not looked in the right places yet. I plan on having the on I recently received, 3D scanned.

I recently received a battery holder for the N & Nii cameras to try and build a replacement. Anyone in need of one of these, can you give me th known issues? How , exactly, has this battery holder failed you. Also photographs would be nice. I will trying to sort these issues and try to bring forth a replacement. Thanks in advance for your help.

This is not so simple. Sourcing and installing the battery contacts has proved to be the real challenge.

In production mode right now. I have two different working designs and am developing a rechargeble option. Pictured are a group of standard 6AA designs and one that utilizes two 9v batteries.

I recently picked up this lens. The roll I shot with it, I was blown away by the sharpness. I was not expecting it. Great photo BTW.

My vision is to incorporate rechargeable lithium cells into the pack. With a charge port and possibly a level indicator. I was actually looking up the cells last night.
EDIT:
My initial design my use currently available rechargeable AA batteries, such as Eneloop. Then go from there to the actual rechargeable, fully encased, battery pack, which is the desired result. I will post here when I get the first unit put together.

I picked up a "non working" P645 a few weeks ago. 120 insert & 80-160mm lens, for a bargain price. I managed to get it functioning by installing the hand grip from my existing P645. I preceded to open up the hand grip. I found the issue, corrosion on contacts & a loose wire. Probably caused by said corrosion. I bagged it all up & brought it home. I cleaned the contacts & screws & soldered on the broken wire. BAM! Working again. Now to the battery holder. I am going to attempt to 3D print one, or, 3D print an attachment that mounts to the tripod socket, that connects to the remote battery port.
Has anyone here attempted to print a battery holder?
