Sigma has made two versions of the 135-400. The first being the APO Aspherical lens, product code 723. The second is the DP APO Aspherical lens, product code 727. Not sure if there is anything that is different from the lens rather than just the DG distinction. Technical specs look identical for both.
I am going to have to pass on it though... unless you made me an offer I just could not refuse!!

Is it the DG version of the lens?

Looking at your photos, I don't see what the problem is. Your photos look great, who needs SR if you are getting results like this. The second one is just AWESOME!

I believe your pictures are labeled incorrectly. Actually I don't think either are properly exposed. The top one being under and the other being over.

Personally I think Pentax should make the camera, although in limited quantities. Then sponsor a contest and give them away as prizes. And I do like the look. I just hope this wasn't one of the new D-SLR's they were working on that we've been hearing about since PMA!!

I agree with Cideway that there isn't a best. Personal preference as to which one people prefer. It is just one of those side effects from using lighting to achieve the portrait.

Half press here - why, cause that's the way I've always done it. None of my other camera's had an AF button. Old habits are hard to break.

I just use my K10D and AF-540FGZ in wireless mode and that way I don't have to worry about having it stuck on my camera body. But seriously, I must have mounted my flash in the hot shoe hundreds of times before the firmware update that allowed wireless with the K10D and not once did mine stick. Lucky perhaps, but did it have anything to do with knowing the proper way to take it on and off... no way I just wiggle it off every time!

My name is Kevin, I currently reside in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and have lived here for the past 12 years. Before that I grew up in Riverside, California. I am a veteran of the United States Air Force. I was an airborne crew member and flew on the USAF E-3B/C AWACS aircraft as an airborne radar technician. I am now a civil servant working for the United States Department of the Interior, working as an information technology specialist.
Good to see a few Oklahomans on here. We ought to do a meet and shoot out at the zoo or around bricktown.

Again I'll take the flash and the FA-J 75-300.
Flash was only $150 last time, any chance you'll honor the same price? Also, does it still have the omni-bounce?
Also sent you a PM with my address.

do you still have the original box and paperwork that came with the lens? also the soft case, front and rear caps and lens hood? i would assume the condition is still perfect as new, but assuming before has got me into trouble, so i ask the question. can you post some pictures of the lens?

I have used an 8GB SDHC card made by Transcend in both my *istDl and my K10D, no problems at all. I use a 4GB Transcend 150X SD card though as my primary in my K10D.

Chris,
My local camera shop which is pretty much NOT the best price as they stick to roughly MSRP on cameras is what I based the prices on. Yes better deals can be found online and at more competitive prices compared to local stores in Oklahoma.
Current Prices at Epperson Photo in Oklahoma City:
Nikon D40 w/kit lens = $599
Pentax K110D w/kit lens = $599
Pentax K100D w/kit lens = $699
Sony Alpha A100 w/kit lens = $799
Pentax K10D w/kit lens = $999
I know camera prices are high here, but my gas is only $1.87 a gallon, so I guess it all evens out!
