I've been spending hours and hours in my back yard waiting to get this shot. Green Jay in South Texas, I'm a bit north of his usual range so when I started seeing him I was so thrilled. He never stays more than a few seconds, swoops in from from the woods behind my home, grabs and peanut and off he goes. Today was my lucky day ! Pentax K1-II with 560mm

I just recently purchased the K1-II and have done my first couple of outings with it in my back yard and a nearby Bird Sanctuary. Very pleased with it's performance. I've had the 560 for a couple of years now and just love this lens !!

Greetings !
I purchased the Pentax K1-II a couple of weeks ago. Is it "normal" to have vignetting when using FF lenses such as the Pentax DA560mm ? This is my first FF camera and have been using the lens on a K-70 body and of course, no vignetting, so I'm just curious is this is just a normal issue when using FF camera body. Example image attached

I've had the 560mm now for about a year and wanted to share some of my more recent images. Love this lens and have just ordered the 1.4x converter. Anxious to see how that does with this lens.

I was able to get a few nice pics with my new DA560, need some practice but I'm pretty happy with first day out with it. New camera as well so definitely more outings are necessary. Comments are most welcome !

I am getting my 560 tomorrow ! I just joined the forum yesterday and have just spent the last hour looking at all the spectacular images posted here on the 560 club. Glad nobody was home to see me staring at the screen with my jaw dropped open. Truly amazing images ! I have dreamed of having a lens with these capabilities for years. Tomorrow is my day ! I hope my research and studies have prepared me to maybe get one good shot on my first day with it. lol Any tips ? I'm not a professional photographer by any stretch but love photographing birds and other wildlife. I've never used a lens like this before but did purchase a really good tripod and gimbal head. It will take some getting used to I'm sure. Wish me luck !!!
