Unfortunately not possible, the area is very much restricted. These were both taken quickly from the parking lot. I can maybe take another try to see if there's any way to get to the roof but I don't think it's possible. It's an old abandoned power plant.

I wanted to document these couple extremely large wall paintings before the city tears down the building. Very challenging location since the art pieces are 20-30 meters tall and in a narrow alleyway so this is pretty much the best angle I can get on them. Not the greatest weather for colors to pop but such is the winter in Finland. Ideas, suggestions? I can take another trip there if anyone has good ideas how to shoot wall art.

The truth is even more fantastic than you might realize! I actually looked into that a while back, all of the stones are held together by gravity alone like a house of cards. Makes you think when walking inside a cathedral knowing the roof is held together with nothing but gravity. The pic is from the Turku castle in Finland built in the 13th century. Here's a shot of the miniature model that shows how the bricks were laid for the roofs. The final phase was to remove the wooden supports from under the stones.

Kyoto train museum. Highly recommend it if you're in town and want a change of pace from temples and more temples.

My favorite city in Europe. I think I've been there three times so far and loved it every time. You can get to Budapest by overnight bus from there too.

The old city is a photographer's dream after dark since all the street lights are on and the historical buildings are lit, but every place is closed and there are absolutely no people anywhere.

They look great! One minor thing I'd personally do, warp the boat so that the front is larger (or the back is smaller) to change the perspective slightly. Now it gives the impression the boat is moving downwards instead of forwards.

Thanks! There were some good ones considering all shots were just 1-2 seconds of point-and-shoot and onto the next place. Zero composition, barely in focus!

I decided to keep using only the one lens for the whole two weeks of my vacation to really learn what the Tak can do. (And what it can't do).

Here's some touristy shots.

Cool light! I'd love to go there again.

70% of people I saw on the Annapurna Circuit looked over 60. Highest point on that is 17880 feet.
