A very famous actor called Alberto Sordi once said about of Rome:
“Noi abbiamo avuto il privilegio di nascere a Roma, e io l'ho praticata come si dovrebbe, perché Roma non è una città come le altre. È un grande museo, un salotto da attraversare in punta di piedi”
"We had the privilege to be born in Rome, and I used to live it like everyone should, because Rome is similar to no city. It's a big museum, a living room to cross on the points of your feet".

Hi Tom..you too :)
Dryplate: there are two interesting books by Denise Ross (The Light Farm). I suggest the first one, because the second, from what i know, it's focused on paper.
There's also Jason Lane from PICTORIOGRAPHICA - Dry Plate Blog who produces ready to use dry plates.

Hi, thanks!
I live near Rome, have you ever visited the Eternal City? :)

Yes..i should keep on eye on eBay and wait the righr auction. I don't want to spend 40€ for a focusing screen when I paid all the bag with 3 lenses, a converter, 2 adapters, a flash, and the camera for 100€. It ruins my deal 😉
Thanks,
P.

Thank you. Yes exactly, the only way I've found is to press the lever while shooting, but it's quite tricky...
Yes, the split prism becomes a bit darker. People suggested me the SA-1 focuing screen, but the price is quite unreasonable..

Hello,
I was looking in between my lenses and I've found my MC Volna-3 2.8/80mm, I used the PK mount/M42 adapter+M42/Pentacon Six adapter and boom, it worked on this camera! Did anyone try this setup?
The Pentax MX esposimeter works, but when I close/open the diaphragm on the lens I have no effect, until I move a leverage on the side of the lens (and keep the finger on it, until taken the shot). Is this normal? This means I can't take so much shots by hand, because I must keep the finger on the diaphragm leverage while triggering the shutter.
Any help?
Thank you Pentaxans,
P.

Please read here: Using a 3x Tele Converter ---------- Post added 01-13-19 at 07:35 AM ---------- Thanks guys for your replies.
This is a kind of mystery because i cannot understand why there was that Prinzflex converter in the same camera bag. I've found a PK/EOS adapter ring too..probably they were part of a bigger setup.

Hello,
I've just bought an Hanimex 75-300mm 1:5,6 lens for my Pentax MX. It's a very big lens, but I cannot understand if it 100% works: in the viewfinder when I try to focus there are the classic half circle shapes that must be in both in focus, but one of the two is"blackish" or black (it depends, sometimes the one on the top, sometimes on the bottom).
I can't understand if it's a problem of my eye or what. Any suggestion?
Thank you!

Hello,
I've bought a Pentax MX that came with 3 lenses...and this Prinzflex converter. I really cannot understand how to use with my lenses because i have a the PK/M42 (i suppose) adapter ring to connect to the camera side(PK/M42 female) , but i should have another M42/PK (M42 male/PK) mount to connect it to my lenses...i said 'i should' because i can't understand if i'm misunderstanding something!
The lenses I have are:
Hanimex Auto Zoom 75-300mm 1:5,6
SMC Pentax 135mm 1:3,5
SMC Pentax 28mm 1:2,8
Any help?
Thanks,
P.

Hello!
I've just bought a Pentax MX. I'm new at all at photography, but i hope it's a long journey. I have experience in cyanotypes and pinholes and i love wetplates and dryplates.
Ciao from a sunny (but cold!) Italy
