I'd like a lot to practice with some manual focus lenses, and that will happen for sure once I cover with a couple of zooms the standard ranges.
If I can find a good price, the DFA 28-105 would be great, but in Europe it's usually sold pretty expensive, even second hand. The DFA plus the F 70-210 could be a good pair to start, otherwise the FA 24-90 or one of the other suggestions that you guys have proposed here.

Wow thanks for the review. There are quite some nice prices for this lens so it's a very good candidate.
By the way: what a wonderful snow you have there!

Seems reasonable.
Would you say that in general Pentax-F zoom lenses are very low value for the K-1? One option tempting me was buying an affordable couple of them (the 24-50 and the 70-210 for instance), but, if they are going to kill the camera, it makes no sense.

I'm looking for a slightly cheaper zoom pair (second hand gear), something that allows to cover family events and casual photography. Then, down the road, I'd save some bucks to get a couple of reasonable primes.
What about the Sigma 24-60 f2.8? Maybe that plus the DA* 60-250?

Wow, thanks a lot for the links and the suggestions, I'll look throughly into them.
It's a very exciting new world!!
As for the Marketplace, it has struck me for hosting a lot of interesting prices, with many offers that are more convenient than those you can find on ebay. Is there anything in particular to keep into account when buying in the Marketplace? Maybe a thread with good practices to follow?
Thanks a lot for sharing your experiece guys!!

Hello,
I'm new to this wonderful PF. I've recently bought a K-1 II and looking for a couple of zoom lenses to cover the standard range.
Do you think it's better to buy the HD D FA 28-105 plus some telezoom like the FA 100-300, or maybe look for a F 24-50 and add the DA 55-300? Does the DA 55-300 produce an unacceptable vignetting on the K1?
Thanks for your suggestions
