Correct, the .bin file is 240, yet the update is 2.30. Kind of confusing but I had already figured that out too.

UPDATE!
Firmware update completed. Turned out I was doing everything right, but the update will not load from a smaller that 32GB card, and I was using a 16GB card that I keep around just for such uses.
I put the .bin file on a 33GB card and the update went flawlessly.
Thanks to all that tried to help, I was a bit baffled until I read a post from a user with the same issue on a K3 MkII. All is now well.

Having an issue updating to the latest firmware on my K1 MkII. Always updated fine in the past. Have FW 2.10 now, have added FW 2.30 .bin file to my SD cards root directory, inserted in slot 1, FULL battery. Yet when turning the camera on while holding the menu button, I do not get the download screen I have always gotten before. Any clues as to what might be going on?
No, I am not a Pentax rookie, and yes I have updated this camera before. Have downloaded the .bin file to two different SD cards and still not reading.

I have a Pentax-A 600mm F5.6 (green star) lens that does not have a filter holder, I bought it that way thinking a replacement would be no big deal. 6 months later I still do not have one. Any assistance or recommendations would be greatly appreciated! TIA
