An amazing shot from that distance. The plumes look very much like feathers in the light from the power plant. Well captured.

Minus 31 C, eh? Proof that the K3iii is indeed well-winterized. Your image of pine needles is remarkable: Looks like a b&w picture with a full-color sky ghosted in.

I believe you did an excellent job with these images. Motion blur is minimal and the colors and exposure levels are very good.

I might have to use a tripod in weather this cold. Don't know if even Pentax could deal with my shaking.😊 These are all great environmental shots showing the effects of extreme cold weather. I really like them, all.

The extreme cold made for a beautiful sunrise there. Gorgeous shot. I was in Kansas City all weekend for a VB tournament. It was extremely cold there also. It's not to warm in Arkansas either.

Your camera disregards cold air, but does respond well to beautiful colors and bright light. :)
(As well as dark tarmac and shadows!)

Nice series of black and white shots. I like the clouds, however I like the unobstructed view in the fourth image best.

I took this picture last January in the Vienna Forest, Austria, with a Pentax K1 and a HD Pentax AD 28-105 mm (f 3.5-5.6) lens; at 28 mm and f 9,5. The lens is quite versatile, with very good focusing across the field. In this pic, an f 9,5 gave me excellent DOF, and accommodated the effects for the sky and the moving clouds, for which I used NV filter and a 27 sec exposure. The B&W choice was for a more dramatic effect.

Here is my contribution. Image shot with the Pentax 16-85mm at 35mm.
To me this image evokes powerful emotions. A child looking into infinity and the powerful beauty of nature, while grounding herself thanks to the fence and the stuffed animal, giving her reassurance enough to face that open space.
I'm happy with the technical aspects, but it's the story that I really like.
