Oh, and it's far from worn out. Barely a mark on it. It was filthy when I got it, but it's scrubbed up beautifully. Apart from the distance strip on the focussing ring...😬

That's where I got the lens. Spotty from eBay for £22 posted with a good case and a filthy lens. I cleaned all the fungus off the elements, I "borrowed" one of the grub screws from my Tak 55 f2, but the distance scale broke when I was cleaning the crud off it. If I can get that metal strip, then I've got a near perfect lens!

I got a filthy Super Takumar 55 F
f1.8 with a Spotmatic body. The lens elements were coated with fungus - easy enough to clean once I got the name ring off.
The real problem is that the 3 grub screws holding the index ring were missing, and the depth of field metal strip had cracked.
Is there somewhere I can buy the screws and metal DoF strip?
Please!

I'm Willie, I'm from Livingston, 15 miles West of Edinburgh Scotland. I'm a fan of the vintage M42 screw Pentax cameras.
I've got an S1a, and 2 Spotmatic SP2s!
I like the solidity and feel of the mechanical cameras!
They take great pictures.
I've got a few lenses. A Cosina 28-80 zoom, 2 55 Takumar 55s
And a pair of Helios 44M-4 lenses.
