I've had a p30t since they were new but it was in its bag for a couple years. I took it out and the mirror was stuck (fixed that) and now it does the shutter, one wind, and two winds. argh! anyway--my other p30t, p30n, or p3 don't have this mirror/shutter problem. just my old, dear p30t I've had for 30 years. I'd love to get an answer how to clean it.
I have an ME and ME super I am hoping to fix so I know the infinite issue is. so I have what I need to get in there and do that.

No lens included 😕 I already have two 35-80 "kit" lenses from other cameras. My neighbor came over "Deb quick there's a camera" and I ran with my tail wagging- I have been a Pentaxian since 1979 it's gonna be hard to give up on this

I was told it worked and paid $20 at a neighbor's yard sale. yeah right it just needed that 2CR5 battery and nothing happened to make me wonder if it's worth going to the trouble of learning to repair it. plus the flash-pop-up button is broken off, I wish I noticed. what a mess. what does anyone think if I should do.
it's a 35mm SLR with TTL auto flash
it has a hotshoe so the pop-up may not matter if I can fix it

P30n Shutter Release Button Not Working

My P30t has been in its photo bag in a box since the 2000s I am so sad to say. My Kx and K1000 survived their hibernations though. Its mirror was stuck. I fixed that so that isn't the issue. The timer doesn't work either.
OK. What can I do to clean please if it's dirty?

I have one since 1980 and the same problem does happen. I shot a roll of the lunar eclipse back in the 90s (love I can lock my cable release for the shutter) anyway the roll didn't wind at all and no film was exposed, bummer. I think it must be that I didn't put enough film on the right spool before I started. so I shoot one or two wasted and watch that it winds. it hasn't happened since I do this.
great camera. the best sweet 16 birthday present ever!!!
