Just to stir the pot, imagine Pentax forums decided to change their TOS and they stated, that all users grant Pentax forums retroactively basically full rights of ownership to any and all pictures, just like IG or Facebook, or every other social media platform. There are some wicked pictures on this site that would get a pretty penny, at least in my mind, and the original owner/uploader wouldn't get a dime, and no one would know if and when it happened until they saw their picture somewhere.

You get a platform to show off your stuff, they get a product to exploit in any way they see fit. Everyone needs to decided for themselves that they are OK with that.

There aren't many options though, don't participate, build your own, or use a paid service that explicitly states only you own your intellectual property other that that there isn't much you can do.

One question which isn't clear. What if the picture they sell is considered illegal, ie pictures that run afoul of the law or whatever reason. obscenity, restricted areas, etc. Do they get charged for selling it or do they deflect and say we don't own it we just usurped some of the rights so they could make a buck?

Darktable, GIMP, Inkscape, three open source apps that are great. You'd be hard pressed to find something they can't do in relation to their Adobe equivalences. They might not have the polish but they have it where it counts.

The tree in my front yard is getting eaten. I wasn’t happy about it until I took a few pics. it kind of reminds me of the plague masks doctor’s wore back in the day.

I prefer the richness of the sky and water in the original. I agree, remove the bird and the other things in the sky.f you could mask the building and brighten it, I think it would make it “pop” against the blue of the sky and water. Also, cropping can make a world of difference, maybe tighten up the sky and water relative to the building can give it panoramic effect, or just cut out some sky and the picture is completely symmetrical.

Poll: Why did you go full frame?

I had a Nikon FM2 and fought the digital move for years. After seeing all of the different sizes, full frame, APS-C, four thirds, blah, blah, blah. Crop factor, math blah, blah, blah. I was just fed up. Basically, my move to full-frame was out of sheer laziness. All of my lenses are from the film days so full-frame in the end was the best move for me and offers me the biggest bang for the buck in my mind.

Here are a couple shots, one with the lens on the right way the other with a reversing ring.

The 28mm gives good coverage for landscapes and such. For macro, it can get close. That’s a 2cm wide decorative glass bead, The front of the glass is abut 6cm away.

I used a godox flash, with a tin foil cowling I stuck on with an elastic band.

Just got my mamiya/sekor 55mm f1.8 last week. So far it's my best lens. This is just testing.
