Bummer I guess nobody has figured out the answer. Pentax never even acknowledged my submitted ticket. My guess is as people upgrade to better phones they will start to experience the problem.
To the other user having the same issue, I bought a plug in memory card reader that plugs into the lighting port on the iPhone. Not terribly convienient, but still better than uploading to a pc then to my phone. It dies however render the flucard as useless tho, since I don’t use the remote function. Bummer regardless. :-(.

Okay I logged into it and went to the web addy http://192.168.1.1. I could hover over one pic at a time and download, it did download the first one Altho it took a good 30 seconds. The second one never got beyond the fetching part and ultimately crashed the card. Is there a way to select multiple photos via web browser? Perhaps if I can select them all and download then it won’t crash until the next group.
Regardless, thanks for the tip, at least I confirmed the issue is with the app on the xs specifically. Perhaps I should try the web addy on a different browser. That’s next :-).

It’s the official one from Pentax. Good to know I’m not the only one having the issue. I was not aware we could download via browser, how do we obtain the address so I can try it?

It hasn’t been updated in years. I fear they have stopped supporting it. Especially since I can’t get a response from the support email. I rather enjoyed it too, since it’s the only one Pentax recommends and they still sell them, one would think they would support it, hopefully someone knows a fix.
I will check out the other card. Thank you for the heads up on it.

I have been using the flucard k-3 combo for years. I never had trouble downloading photos until I upgraded my phone to the iPhone XS Max. My iPad is using older iOS software and still downloads just fine, however the point of the xs Max was for my photography, and not being able to download images is becoming a bit of a nuisance. I can’t seem to get a response from the support team for the flucard pro, so I am hoping someone here might be able to help.
So here is what I know.
-Running newest iOS. And have had multiple updates with no resolution to the problem.
-it connects, it allows me to select photos, it behaves normally when downloading photos but the photos never actually make it to my phone
-ipad downloads photos normally with no issues
Any help or advise, or even ideas at this point, is much appreciated. If no known resolution, is there another card I can try that dies the same thing? I only need download ability, the remote functions are nice but not required. Thanks all, I look forward to participating in these forums going forward. :-)
