Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral is being destroyed by flames right this minute. A National Treasure of France built in the Middle Ages is going up in smoke. My nephew visited the Cathedral last summer.

Sure. I think it would be helpful if we started with a screenshot of what's currently on your SD card, in the top (root) folder.

At which point in the process are you experiencing a hiccup? Most of the time, firmware upgrade issues are due to having the wrong file in the wrong place, or simply a low battery level. Would be happy to help if you'd like to take a closer look.

Good to have you aboard Dave. I've been on the Pentax Forum for a number of years now and it's very helpful. Like you, I just got a Ricoh GR ll a couple of weeks ago and have learned a lot about this versatile, little camera from other members.

The GR ll really does a fine job, unobtrusive presence, fast lens and large sensor.

Very nice, Dave. Is that your own monochrome treatment in post-processing, or straight-out-of-camera JPEG? Either way, it looks great :)
