Would take very little effort to improve the K-1 II to let's say a K-1 III -> bigger buffer and usb 3.0 interface for the card-reader. -> done -> much better camera. I hate the slow burstrate and to wait for the next shot once the buffer is full. That's the only thing that really needs to be improved from my point of view.
No crowd funding needed.

I noticed the same with my K1-II, DA 150-450mm and the new FW V1.4. Much better and faster AF.

It is true. They are all dated. The last one newly released for Pentax was back in 2014. In the meantime, about 75 new ones have been released for Canon/Nikon and now also for Sony instead of Pentax. Almost the complete Art/Contemporary/Sports range is missing.

I was lucky to get a brand new Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 APO HSM II a couple of weeks ago for my K1 II for a very reasonable price and so far I am very satisfied with this lens. Fast AF and very sharp. But as others have already mentioned, it does not work well with TCs. I can confirm that it does not work at all with my Kenko SHQ 1.5 PzAF (7 pin and 6 pin version). You have a small chance that the focus will lock at 70mm, but almost no chance at 200mm (=300mm). MF is working fine. But it's working with all my other lenses (28-105mm WR, 100mm 2.8 WR, Tamron 28-75mm 2.8). So I am sure my Kenko is not faulty.
If you are planing to use a TC, I strongly recommend you to buy the Tamron 70-200 instead of the Sigma. It's still available brand new here in the EU for about 650 €.
