One of the beautiful period style home in Oysterville framed by some of those famous cedars. A very placid place.

I like jumping spiders. This one was scouting from behind the window lock in our bedroom.
Behind the Lock by k kwb, on Flickr
This was shot with Q7, Vivitar Series 1 VMC F2.5 macro for Canon FD mount at F/9, and a dedicated Vivitar 1:1 Macro adapter which I think is a 2x teleconverter, therefore combined with the lens it's F/18 in reality (!!).
BTW, this might be a good example of why I don't worry too much about blurring due to diffraction. I like this picture anyway even if this is not THE sharpest picture I can take with my existing lenses in theory.

Fish were jumping, waterfowls were slowly and smoothly gliding on the water, some pelicans and nighthawks and other birds flew past, but everything was really peaceful (except some mosquito ).

A boring evening during a business trip this week, so I went out for an evening walk and played around with the Q7 and the 01 prime |

I didn't use an ND filter, but I did use an approx. 2-stop light reducing red filter to up the contrast and darken the sky. It was a slightly cloudy sunny day. The above image is a 16x multi-exposure which yields 4 stops shorter exposure times than normal. The Pentax 645N (and N II) has a very nifty multi-exposure function, so I set the ME-lever on the side on multi-exposure and the EV-knob on -3 EV. I also set the ISO-setting one EV higher (200 iso instead of box speed 100 iso). Doing that I can use the internal meter and take 15 shots, return the multi-exposure lever to the non-ME position and take the last shot. That way I get 16 exposures on the same negative each corrected -4 EV corresponding to one single normal exposure.
Here's another example: normal exposure:
Camera: Pentax 645N
Lens: smc Pentax-FA 645 75mm F/2.8 (red filter)

Tamron c-mount lens 75mm f3.9 on Pentax-Q. This setup is small and light, so great for snaps during family outings.

Thanks, nice vivid colors, great use of 02 lens!
This is a cross post to point and shoot competition #127 - "furniture" thread (which, if you don't know, Q series cameras qualify, so post your furniture photos there!). Composite of two images (1 and 0.5sec) for mild HDR. Q7 and 02 lens at 5mm f/4.5, ISO100.

My co-worker was helping a friend's child with a project called "Flat Liam." Flat Liam travels around to different places and has his photo taken at different landmarks representing where he is. Once he is finished visiting, he travels on to a new place, eventually arriving back to his original home, with lots of photos and stories about each place. I couldn't help but take a few photos of Liam while he was visiting today. ;-) Liam's photos were taken with a Pentax Q7 + 01 lens. Flat Liam Flat Liam at Franklin's BBQ |
