Agreed. And the instructional videos on the ON1 website are helpful.

Skylight filters were used with color films to warm up the image. Blue light from the sky would sometimes produce an overall blue tone in the image. That was especially noticeable with some slide films. Remove the skylight filter from the lens: you do not need it with a DSLR.

DCU 5.10.1 seems to be stable on my MacBook Pro running Sonoma 14.1. DCU had been installed before I upgraded to Sonoma.

The AF201FG is the smallest currently-available flash from Pentax. The head tilts but does not swivel.

For what it's worth (i.e. just one data point among thousands), I've owned a DA*200 for 11 years without issue and it was used at the time I purchased it.

I've owned the F28 for decades. I bought it new to use with the SF1 for a wide angle lens. Now it serves as a normal perspective lens on the KP. I keep a collapsible rubber hood attached to it.

There is a very, very slight change in the resistance when turning the focus ring through the 24mm position on my lens.

My current user modes are for star trails, single-shot starry landscapes, macro with aperture bracketing, settings for a 400 mm lens (wildlife), and catch-in-focus.

Regarding the Fx3 button, is it possible that the button has been set to Operation Control Lock, the last choice for Fx3 in the Button Customization menu?

Doesn't that indicate that you should press the shutter button? The camera will then show a preview image with the selected color temperature.
Edit: On 2nd thought, it may mean to activate the camera's depth-of-field control to produce a preview image.

That feature was dropped many camera models ago, unfortunately. I had a K20d, too, and I miss that comparison feature.

One other point: adding 50 mm of extension tubes does not transform a 50 mm lens into a 100 mm lens. It becomes a 50 mm lens that now focuses closer than its original design.

^^^ That is good, general advice for anyone buying a new camera, although instead of M one could choose an automatic mode such as Av. As for the DA* 16-50 (PLM presumably?), I have one and quickly found that I could use it without worrying about whether the corners were bad at this or that aperture, etc. Just go out and use it.
There is, of course, a list of recommended settings in PF's review of the K3iii: https://www.pentaxforums.com/reviews/pentax-k-3-mark-iii-review/recommended-settings.html , but maybe you've already seen it.

In the KP, you can turn noise reduction off under the Record Mode Menu 2 (press MENU button; go to camera icon tab 2). You may also find both ISO and shutter noise reduction options in the control panel when you press the INFO button, depending on how you set up your control panel.
To update your firmware, go to https://www.ricoh-imaging.co.jp/english/support/download_digital.html and download the firmware from there. Instructions are included in the download package.

I have a KP and a SMC Limited 15mm F4. I have noticed coma with the 15mm at F4. When I stop down to F5.6 the coma is reduced enough (for me) for star photography. However, I have to be careful of bright objects such as planets. The coma is especially noticeable on my lens on the left side (landscape format), so I take care to focus in Live View on the left side.
I hate to add anything to what MossyRocks wrote. I seek out his posts on astrophotography all the time. I am a novice and am wanting to take star trail photos myself. So take the following with a massive bit of skepticism.
Prior to MossyRocks' post, while preparing for star trail photography, I found 2 YouTube videos on the subject from Cape Nights Photography (Cape Nights Gallery - Cape Night Photography - YouTube). I created a user mode with the following parameters: Bulb mode; shutter speed 2 minutes; drive mode Interval Composite (interval = 2 seconds, number of shots = 12, start interval = 2 second timer, save process checked on); shutter and ISO noise reduction off; ISO = 400 as a starting point.
Edit: I forgot to include the interval composite mode = Bright.

That doesn't sound right to me. If both cameras were serviced by the same person, I'd say it is probable that the technician made an identical error with each camera.

I suspect that is the normative behavior. I likewise did not need to change the AF fine adjustment for either of my telephoto lenses.

When the folks at Optical Limits tested the D-FA version on a K5ii, they found, "The resolution characteristic of the Pentax lens is highly impressive. It is already superb at max. aperture and peaks with outstanding results at f/4 - across the frame that is. Diffraction is limiting the results from here on so the quality is slowly but steadily decreasing. The results are still very sharp at f/11 and f/16 remains usable but you should avoid f/22."
As noted above, the optical formula is the same as the FA version.

The 2nd sentence is not entirely correct. In AF point SEL mode, a quick press of the OK button will magnify the live image. A long press of the OK button will enable the 4-way controller buttons to move the elected AF point.
