Hi,
I've been trying a Quantum Turbo battery with a CN3 cable to power my AF-540-FGZ. When I initially plug the cable in the high voltage indicator on the battery lights up as expected. After I pop the flash the high voltage light on the battery turns off and the flash charges. I get the same response if I have the power source for the flash to external only or external with internal battery (PP1 or PP2) Is this behaviour of the high voltage indicator light the way it suppose to work? If I use my Vivitar 282 with the battery pack the high voltage indicator light stays on. (I'm new to working with external battery packs)
Cheers!

I have to admit the U.S. is starting to learn how to make a proper beer. I was quite impress with some of the local brew pub quaffs in my past couple of trips south of the border.
I especially liked this one in Palm Springs.

Well this was case of RTFB. I found the specified lens hoods on the boxes the lenses came in. Now I just got to find them.

Hi,
I'm looking for recommendations on what type of lens hood to buy. How do I determine the length the hood should be and whether it should be a flower shaped or round. For example what would I use on a FA 28-80?
Cheers!

I was shooting in Tv mode at 1:1000/1:2000 with ISO set around 400 or 800 using the high continuous mode. I got hooked on continuous with my MZ-5N taking pictures of waves on beaches. That really chewed up the film.

Earlier this summer I bit the bullet and went digital. Armed with my new K20D, an FA 80-320, and a couple of 8GB cards, barely having read the owner's manual, I took photographs at cirtirium I was participating in. Below are few shots of the several hundred I took that morning after I finished my race. At this point in time I didn't understand what RAW meant, had no clue as to the difference between AF.S. and AF.C, and even what 1% of the settings on the camera where for. But I had fun none the less. I even met a another Pentaxian at the race.
As a result of the new camera and not having to worry about developing costs, I'm enjoying learning photography all over again.

Hi,
I just joined the forum a few days ago and this could be a real work production killer. I've been using Pentax since I took a photography course and learned to use a K1000. A few years ago I purchased an MZ-5N. This summer I finally went digital when I bought a K20D. I've had a bit of a renewal in my interest in photography since I got the K20D and have since been having fun learning to shot all over again.
Cheers!
